I am fairly nearsighted and need cataract surgery in both eyes.  My
surgery is scheduled for next Wednesday.  My last prescription for
glasses was around 5-6 diopters in both eyes.  I'm wondering if it
would significantly reduce the risk of retinal detachment by asking my

I am planning to have cataract surgery on my eyes.
I have been nearsighted since about age 14 (need glasses for distance
seeing) and am now 57, but for about 4 years around age 48-52 my eyes got
better and I stopped wearing my glasses. They then went back to being

I recently got new glasses (basically new frames, but same
prescription) after wearing my old ones for 3 years.  Anyway, I know
there's always an adjustment period, but I've never experienced like
this one before (or maybe its been a while so I don't remember).  The

Hi, I have been looking up the net and there have been mentions of
people with longsight wearing minus lenses to reverse their longsight?
Has anyone heard of this? Could it be possible? I am fairly
longsighted so would like to try and improve it.
