myopia prevention.
Is reading without glasses bad???20 Sep 2007 17:25 GMT26
I am quite nearsighted. I had my eyes checked at a Sears Optical
department.  I mentioned to the eye doctor that I generally read

Perfect sight is impossible without continual shifting, and such
shifting is a striking illustration of the mental control necessary
for normal vision. It requires perfect mental control to think of

For example, if a lens is -4.00 diopters and if the optical center is
Minus lens for 20/40 child?19 Sep 2007 04:49 GMT56
Just a couple of questions.  Last winter, my 9 yr old was told to see an eye

Maximum eyeglass prescription?18 Sep 2007 21:36 GMT14
I am 33 years old with progressive lenses which, by some sites,

presbyopia. This is in addition to my extreme nearsightedness and

Re: Minus lens for 20/40  child?18 Sep 2007 15:57 GMT18
Thanks to everyone for all the information.    One thing I do not understand
is how a doctor can prescribe a lens based on one measurement at one point
