Humble apologies11 Jun 2007 05:27 GMT15
Some of you questioned the sincerity of my first set of apologies.  I
was quite hurt by your skepticism regarding my sincerity.
Still, I do humbly apologize for my antics on this forum.
I have been trying to quit one lascivious habit that usually occupied
discomfort wearing glasses--advice needed10 Jun 2007 20:26 GMT15
I'm wondering if anyone can provide some suggestions on this.
I currently wear glasses and it has become an extreme nuisance because
I have to touch it many times each day.
The frames have a tendency to slowly slide down on my nose. I feel
Strabismus surgery or Vision Therapy. Whats the better choice at this point10 Jun 2007 19:05 GMT21
I posted on here last year regarding my exotrophia and got some great
replies, especially from
Neil Brooks. His and everyones elses consensus seemed to be that
surgery was best. Neil
Vernal Conjunctivitis10 Jun 2007 19:00 GMT6
I'm 23 years old with Vernal Conjunctivitis since I was 18 years old,
it's been decreasing year after year but still there and very
annoying. The eyes start to become itchy and extremely red during
spring/summer season (anything above 25c) or any type of heat hitting
My sister is ruining her eyes and inducing more myopia!10 Jun 2007 12:03 GMT39
I caught my sister wearing her -2.5 glasses for near work! She was
making some crafts and her -3 eyes should be in perfect focus at 13
inches. Yet she was wearing glasses and looking at her craft from 10-12
inches! She did occasionally look at the sewing machine which stood
Lenses10 Jun 2007 07:28 GMT5
My friend and I have similar prescriptons c-.275 yet hers look much stronger
so I presume it is the lens material. Her's aren't thicker but we both think
things look more intense through hers. Is it the lenses or the frame that
make the difference and is it usual that the same ...
Old Saline Solution10 Jun 2007 05:10 GMT10
I have a bottle of old (very old) saline solution from the  days when
I used contact lenses.  Does saline solution age with the passage of
time?  I want to use it to clean my eyelids and eyelashes externally
only.  Is it safe?  And if not, what would you recommend for that
What's new for dry eyes & 1 day contacts and astigmatism09 Jun 2007 16:29 GMT2
It's been a while since I've worn contacts but now due to various
reasons I'm going to be getting involved in sports and need to go back
to contacts. Last time I tried the 1 days I was in pain a few hours
after putting them in because of dry eyes. I tied the 2 week disposable
FYI:  Outrageous Revival09 Jun 2007 16:09 GMT12
Don't be fooled by the good behavior of Revival/Kaze et.al. today.
This chameleon is likely to come back in any of the old screen names
or new ones to preach futility, to kick, insult and stir the pot.  I
have no idea what motivates somebody to do that, but then I could
Dilation recovery response time.08 Jun 2007 10:16 GMT20
It has been mentioned somewhere that there is a new dilation drug
that has a faster response in coming out of that mode.  Like for
people who after an appointment have to drive home.  Question, is
there such a new drug on the market?
The Correct Answers08 Jun 2007 05:06 GMT27
Dear P.Clar,
Since Otis apparently missed your repeated questions to him, I took
the liberty to answer for him.  I hope this will stop all your further
repetitions.

Update #14 on Avastin vs Lucentis07 Jun 2007 22:51 GMT1
For those of you who may be interested, I have posted an update to my
series of articles on the Avastin vs. Lucentis controversy on my web
site. The subject is a commentary about the June 5th WSJ article
wherein Genentech's CEO tried to justify the price differential
Otis? Just a pathological liar, huh?07 Jun 2007 05:34 GMT6
Also seen on Otis's little soapbox forum:

Bright Light Therapy and Vision05 Jun 2007 21:55 GMT7
I have been on bright light therapy for a week now for Delayed Sleep
Phase Syndrome. It is working. My problem is that my vision is getting
blurry and whenever I look at anything bright now that visual image of
what I looked at sticks in my eyes and I can even close my eyes and
