List of lifeless trolls who inhabit this newsgroup20 Jun 2007 12:55 GMT8
1.    There is Otis Brown of course, who tops the list.
I believe Otis is psychologically-affected, literally.
2.    Then there is this newer guy who posts with various names:

About  three years ago I bought two pair of glasses from LensCrafters, a
pair of progressives and a pair of "distance" glasses.
I was ultimately unhappy with the progressives, not for the reasons that
I often see mentioned here (blurry peripheries, especially) but  because

People Who Annoy Us in Newsgroups19 Jun 2007 16:58 GMT39
People whose messages annoy us are encouraged when they see that we are
annoyed.
I believe that if we ignore them, they will go away.
So instead of flaming, how about hitting N or put them in a kill file or
Red area in vision after light therapy19 Jun 2007 15:33 GMT3
I occasionally (but would need to do it more often) do light therapy,
usually 30 min just after waking up
using an Elta lamp (google for elta lamp light therapy).
After 30 minutes I stop light therapy and walk around the house. I see
Why do opthalmologists use plus cylinder phoropters, while optometrists use minus cylinder phoropters?19 Jun 2007 06:39 GMT8
Why do opthalmologists use plus cylinder phoropters, while
optometrists use minus cylinder phoropters?
And why are those glasses they sell in boxes at the store never minus
power lenses; they're always plus power lenses?
accommodative excess and exophoria18 Jun 2007 19:08 GMT3
I have the following problems (after being tested by orthoptist):
- accommodative excess (or spasm of accommodation)
- intermittent exophoria
- pseudomyopia of over one diopter in exophorix eye
Macula Pucker - RD18 Jun 2007 11:17 GMT41
I am 27 years old male. I was highly myopic right from my child hood.
I have been treated with laser photo coagulation to prevent retinal
detachment 3 times. I had AOL for both my eyes an year ago. After
this, my right eye developed secondary cataract which was removed with
Vertical Double Vision18 Jun 2007 03:14 GMT5
I was at the cinema just recently. Watched Pirates of the Caribbean
3.... Long film....
Anyhow, after the film, the credits came on.
The screen goes blank, then a white line of text comes.

Essilor Natural vs. Varilux Physio15 Jun 2007 14:36 GMT2
The Physio, not the Physio 360.
The difference is $40.  I've been wearing Naturals for about 8
years, and they're ok.  But, you know, if I get wider fields, less
distortion, and clearer vision for $40, that sounds like a good
8 base lenses non corrective15 Jun 2007 06:09 GMT9
I have a pair of sunglasses that have a star reflection that comes
from sunlight being reflected form car windows, oncoming headlights,or
other reflected sunlight. The manufacturer says that my eyes may be "8

"Bad vision causes strain. Strain doesn't cause bad vision."
How do you measure that?
Suggestions for progressive lenses?14 Jun 2007 23:01 GMT1
I've been wearing Essilor Natural lenses for about six years now,
and they seem to work ok.  I guess they are considered "dark ages"
lenses now since I understand there are higher-tech, and
