Do Carrots Enhance Vision?18 May 2007 16:05 GMT4
Hi friends,
For quite some time now, I have been wondering whether the rumor is for real,
do carrots actually enhance night vision (and normal vision), or is this a
myth?

incorrect prescription for child18 May 2007 04:24 GMT14
for the past 10 months, my 3 year old child has been wearing
eyeglasses every day to correct short sight.  We discovered today that
the corrective lens has been applied to the wrong eye.  In addition,
we have been patching his weak eye each day instead of his stronger
Eyelid hygiene procedure17 May 2007 15:55 GMT4
I wonder if someone can please clarify the procedure for cleansing the
eyelids in order to manage blepharitis (assuming hot compresses and
massaging eyelids has already been done).
The instructions on the box of LidCare (Novartis) seem to be saying
My Cat-Doc Fired Me16 May 2007 21:58 GMT12
I was scheduled for a cataract surgery nest week.  I sent in the
signed consent form a few days ago, with some added notes.  The doc
called me today and "fired" me, cancelling my scheduled surgery
because I "don't trust him".

I have been wearing Silicone Hydrogel contact lenses for the past 12 months.
It has only recently occrued to me that this material is new in contact
lenses (3 years old??).
I wonder, is it really safe? I remember lots of negative press about
My eye fixed itself16 May 2007 02:55 GMT14
I started having vision problems in one eye about 7 years ago. I noticed
that when reading, the letters in a word weren't all the same size,
straight lines were wavy, and grids looked really bizarre. The problem
was only in one eye but it made it pretty unpleasant to read and do ...
Can you confirm the proper descriptions for my eyes?14 May 2007 03:34 GMT4
Not a very clear subject line, I know.
I am in my 40's and I guess I have a pretty normal vision change.  Have
not worn glasses until now, and the O.D. did say that I am fine to pass
the drivers test without glasses, so using them is entirely up to me.  I
Is this a significant Rx change for 2 years?13 May 2007 17:25 GMT16
All,
Every few years my distance vision gets a bit worse, and I usually get
a new set of glasses with stronger Rx.  I am 24, and thus far there is
no sign that my vision is going to stabilize.  Im a bit worried that
How soon after giving birth should my vision stabilize?13 May 2007 10:34 GMT16
I had my second baby seven weeks ago, and noticed my vision has
worsened since the delivery.  I had something similar with the first
baby, and it got better after a while, but this time it's worse than
the first time.  I was wondering how soon I can expect my vision to be
Multifocals?12 May 2007 18:48 GMT4
No new news on multifocal contacts? (See my earlier post inquiring about
N&Ds.) Is LarryDoc still here?
Is my optician joking?12 May 2007 14:44 GMT4
My optician says that the eyes of shortsighted people "can drift outwards
when not with glasses", is that true? We were talking about how much I wear
contacts, which is 90% of the time, the other 10% I don't think I'm so blind
I can't go without indoors. He said how do I find that ...
Cataract Surgery - Undilated pupils12 May 2007 13:35 GMT5
I had Cataract Surgery two days ago.  Everything went well and I can see
very well out of the operated eye.
One problem I have noted is that the pupil remains extremely closed, and
I have very little vision in low light.  (Is there a better term than
Tonometers12 May 2007 06:32 GMT23
This may be a bit off topic but maybe somebody here can help me. My
older dog was recently diagnosed with acute glaucoma in one eye. He
has probably lost his vision in that eye and it will maybe be removed.
However I do hope we can save his vision in the other eye, but my
