Options for repair of large cyclodialysis Cleft18 Mar 2007 06:54 GMT3
Afte rnumerous surgeries for repair of a detached retine (long history
uopn request!), I have been fighting hypotony. Finally diagnosed as a
large ("3 to 4 clock-hours") cleft. Ophthalmalogist feels laser treatment
will not succeed, due to profound hypotony and inability to get a ...
Want to try Dr. Bates theory18 Mar 2007 06:14 GMT18
I'm in my 40s and can not see far distance (-2.75) vision. I really
hate wearing my glasses and to scared to have laser done to my eyes so
I thought maybe I can try something more natural if I can fix / even a
little my eyes vision.
vision17 Mar 2007 02:51 GMT3
Has anyone ever read about or heard about a Rebuild your vision
program? I have not been able to find many websites about it but the
ones I haves seen claim little is known about this because the way
money is made is by selling glasses and contacts and surgery because
Any decent big retail stores for glasses?16 Mar 2007 16:20 GMT8
I am currently looking to buy new glasses (frame+lens) since my current
ones are way too long (prescription wise).  I would have a few
questions since I know next to nothing about glasses/optics.
I was wondering if there is any decent big retail stores for glasses?
Difference in light perceived between right and left eye16 Mar 2007 12:20 GMT4
I noticed something strange while watching TV in the dark last night.
I had the channel guide on, and noticed that my right eye sees things
brighter than my left.  Not a huge difference but definitely a
difference, like bold text vs normal text.
Diabetes vision questions16 Mar 2007 05:16 GMT2
Hi. I am a newly diagnosed diabetic, and am currently not on any meds,
so my blood sugars are generally quite out of control, despite careful
eating and being relatively active.  I was on glyburide, but had a very
bad allergic reaction.  Then, when my OGTT results came back, the ...
procedure called Penetrating keratotomy?15 Mar 2007 19:48 GMT3
I am looking for information about a procedure called Penetrating
keratotomy? MY Girlfriend has a reoccurring corneal ulcer caused by a
piece of grass(yes that's spelled right) that injured her cornea a few
years past.  Her eye doctor says that since it keeps 'cracking' that

Update to what to expect between cataract surgeries15 Mar 2007 13:02 GMT2
I asked a few weeks ago:
> /delurk
> I have rapidly progressing psc cataracts. I'm 35yo. In two weeks I'm having surgery on my left eye and having a multifocal lens implanted. two weeks after that I'm having my right eye done also with multifocal. (I'm in the UK)
problems with vision after anti glare coating15 Mar 2007 01:16 GMT2
I got an anti coating on my glasses a few months ago. Ever since then,
I'm seeing streaks, rays of light from bright light especially when I'm
driving but at home also. I just went to an opthamologist and she said
everything is ok and there is no problem with my eyes. I had the anti
Confused anisometropic amblyope14 Mar 2007 23:46 GMT10
It won't be easy but I will try to be brief; in doing so, please
disregard grammatical errors that I will most likely commit!
Amblyopic since childhood, failed eye tests as early as nursery
school, parents took me to Opthalmologist EVERY year where he said I
Post-cat monocular diplopia14 Mar 2007 22:28 GMT5
Greetings all,
My mom is 3- and 2-weeks post-op for cataracts in both eyes.
While the 2nd-operated eye is excellent, she has impaired BCVA in
the 1rst.
IOP reduction after a shot.14 Mar 2007 21:35 GMT8
When the eye receives a shot of Macugen, Avastin, or Lucentis, the
IOP has a tendency to rise because of the volume of the injected
drug.  After awhile, the pressure reduces (hopefully) to some nominal
value (i.e., the extra volume leaves).  Question, what is the
What is this "O 22" on my glasses?14 Mar 2007 03:56 GMT2
I was cleaning a pair of polycarbonate glasses today and I noticed both
lenses says "O 22" near the center.  It seemed to be pressing into the
plastic rather than printed.  I hadn't cleaned them before with glasses on,
and with them I can't see the markings.
Glasses for Computer use.13 Mar 2007 13:56 GMT21
I'm blowing in to ask if anyone can advise me. A year ago I got my
first pair of reading glasses. I haven't been using them for computer
work but lately I've had trouble focusing on the screen and I've been
getting headaches. My reading glasses are too strong though and I
