Say, how accurate is it when Lenscrafters takes your existing pair of glasses, takes them back in the lab, and measures the lenses? Are they able to precisely read your existing prescription, or is there a lot of variation?

About once a week when removing my RGP contacts, one flies away and lands in the sink. Is hitting the sink going to scratch or damage the lens, or are they pretty durable as far as this goes? --

Does the distance vision on a typical progressive lens (+4.75 -1.75 x90 with +2.25 add in my example) maintain the same power all the way up to the top of the lens? Assume a frame that is 40mm high with a fitting height of about 24mm. Lens is Zeiss Individual.

we're kind of upset here. my 76 year old mother-in -law was told by a doctor today that she has let what turned out to be a cataract go too long and that it's too late to restore any vison in her right eye. she is totally blind in her right eye.
