Am I destroying my eyes on the computer?31 Jan 2007 14:20 GMT3
I'm 29 years old, myopic with astigmatism, and correctable to 20/20.
I wear glasses about 70% of the time and contacts the rest of the
time.
Lately I've been noticing a weird sensation with my vision...  If I
mtf and perceived sharpness31 Jan 2007 09:49 GMT7
Hi, I´m a bit confused about mtf curves and perceived sharpness
because I found seemingly contradicting statements. Some texts say
that perceived sharpness correlates best with the 50% value of the mtf
(where contrast has dropped by half) and others state that the
LASIK Malpractice:  Can You Sue? by Kenneth M Keith, JD31 Jan 2007 04:36 GMT2
If you've had a bad outcome from LASIK or other refractive surgery,
read this excellent article by (unfortunately) very experienced LASIK
malpractice attorney Ken Keith.

polarized sunglasses31 Jan 2007 00:30 GMT6
I bought a quality pair of polarized sunglasses (Hobie, $60 sale/$160
retail) for driving purposes, especially to help in daylight rainy
conditions. I read about the theory of polarized light, and thought it
would be a great improvement over regular sunglasses. However, I've a
why are prescriptions required for eyes?30 Jan 2007 21:58 GMT25
I can see why prescriptions are required for drugs, because those can
be easily abused or sold in the black market. But to me, eye
prescriptions don't seem that critical.
My analogy is shoes. You could probably mess up your
Varilux Physio  vs  Varilux Physio36030 Jan 2007 18:54 GMT14
Could someone please explain the difference between the Physio and
Physio360.  I've been to
Varilux.Com, but they are far from clear on the target market of
either product.
Color toric contacts29 Jan 2007 22:32 GMT1
I've been wearing soft contacts for a while now (Coopervision
"Preference") and would like to try a color lens.  Unfortunately
they're hard to find in my prescription... -7.50, 0.75 cyl.
The only toric lens with a high enough sphere that I found is Durasoft
can any one help?29 Jan 2007 03:12 GMT2
I wrote breifly about an eye problem I have and no one has made any

more specific.
Also is this an eye place or dental place? I thought I signed up for a
Vision Clearing with Ortho-K and a Plus Lens.28 Jan 2007 23:23 GMT13
Dear Second-opinion friends,
Yves (name changed) contacted me about the plus.
He was about -2 diopters and 20/140.  After several months
of using the plus he saw no progress and he suggested Ortho-K.
eye problems28 Jan 2007 20:28 GMT1
I have visions problems and was wondering if anyone could help me with
a diagnosis. I have been to eye specialists who dont have a clue.
I see kind of like a sparklie, glittery type of stuff in certain lights
and it seems to depend on how the light is entering my eyes. I have

I got a blast from the OEBB list stating that a recall on CIBAVision's
O2 Optix was imminent.  Anyone got the scoop?
Visudyne therapy, SRN, no macular degeneration, young patient26 Jan 2007 16:24 GMT1

I'm experiencing some frightening symptons.  Went to the ER one night
- they referred me to an opthamologist who was stumped - and he

he has now referred me to a neurologist at the Stroke Prevention

Am I entitled to ALL my records?26 Jan 2007 00:07 GMT8
Would it be reasonable to request all my RGP contact fitting
information from my previous doc, including topographies?  I'd like to
just walk in there and get them, but I'm not sure if they'll give me
trouble.
