I am having problems with my new reading glasses and need to know what the prescription numbers describe. So far, I am assuming that the "Sphere" refers to magnification (or equivalent) but do not know what the "Cylinder" and "Axis" specify.

elderly sister has new prescription for standard bifocal glasses long distance on top, reading on bottom. She needs to see her feet and sidewalk just in front of her. What do I ask the eyeglass store to do to adjust the lower lenses?

i just bought a pair of prescription specs with reactolite lenses - but after 8 hours of use i haven't noticed them go dark! this included walking around outside in a cloudy uk november day for several hours, and staring up at my kitchen fluorescent lamp for a few minutes.

I've heard that both eyes are required for depth perception. Does that apply to 3-D computer games? I suspect that sounds like a dumb question, but I'm double checking.

Hi--- I have glasses for nearsightedness (need to look closely at things)......... in addition i know I have astigmatism, and my optomitrist , the first time I saw him, was amazed that I wasn't crosseyed....
