2.5 eyephorics or swissflex28 Nov 2006 20:09 GMT5
Why has nobody mentioned 2.5 eyephorics or swissflex frames on this
ng?  I think they are the most incredible frames -- the lightness
(e.g., 2.5 grams for eyephorics) is amazing and they are so
comfortable. I just got a pair of swissflex and I love them.  I paid
Lasik Plus Risks27 Nov 2006 20:54 GMT2
I know you guys get posts like this all the time, but I can't seem to
find exactly what I'm looking for.
I'm going for a consultation at Lasik Plus in Baltimore. I know that
technology has changed in the past few years, so I'm trying to find out
White, stringy eye discharge...27 Nov 2006 15:22 GMT2
Quick Rundown:  I am 24 years old and have been wearing soft contact
lenses for 10 years.  I am a -11.5 in my left eye and a -9.0 in my
right.  I wear toric lenses.  3-4 weeks ago, my toddler son contracted
viral conjunctivitis which he gave to me.  The immediate symptoms of
Morning vision27 Nov 2006 02:15 GMT5
I've been noticing more lately that it takes my eyes a while after I wake up
to start focusing correctly - near vision without my glasses is particularly
bad.  After 30-45 minutes the vision normalizes and stays that way for the
rest of the day.  Is this just another one of the ...
Question about contact lens prescription26 Nov 2006 09:46 GMT2
I recently got my first pair of contacts.  My doctor told me that in terms
of contact lens strength, he took my glasses prescription and just lowered
it a little bit.  He said that since the contacts are closer to the eyes,
they don't have to be as strong.
Tripod Fracture26 Nov 2006 08:55 GMT2
Hey everyone,
About two weeks ago, some guy kicked me in the head while I was on the
ground.  I was in the hospital that night, and was diagnosed with a
minimally displaced tripod fracture.  I met with a plastic surgeon a
Price of Physio36026 Nov 2006 07:11 GMT5
I've been to 3 places and have been quoted $399, $399, and $450 for
Physio360 (plastic) lenses.
With the frame I've looking at $500 ++.....  Is this really what
these lenses are selling for?
SLT Becomes First-Line Treatment for Glaucoma26 Nov 2006 01:06 GMT19
In addition to the information about Avastin/Lucentis, I have also
posted information about the use of the Selecta laser to treat glaucoma
using "Selective Laser Trabuculoplasty" or SLT. It appears that the use
of SLT is becoming a first-line treatment for glaucoma, in place of
Press-On optics, ala OPTX, but *minus*...26 Nov 2006 00:30 GMT5
There are a lot of people who prefer sunglasses in the $15 range
instead of $100+ -- but their eyes are a tad weak and suffer with
non-Rx sunglasses.  MINUS-power adhesive correction would be great for
us!
Outcomes / Comments on single-eye cataract surgery25 Nov 2006 20:14 GMT3
A close friend of mine needs cataract surgery, but apparently is only a
candidate to have the lens replaced in one eye (at least for now).
>From what we hear, having surgery on only one side can make adjustment
difficult, particularly since she is extremely nearsighted.
no depth perception??23 Nov 2006 22:46 GMT36
A colleague tells me that he has no depth perception.  He is in his
sixties and apparently this has been the case his entire life.  He has
always been nearsighted, but not drastically so, and wears glasses to
correct this anyway.
Are there any daily disposable contact lenses made from Silicone Hydrogel?23 Nov 2006 14:53 GMT12
Just wondering if there any daily disposable contact lenses made from
Silicone Hydrogel or if anyone knows that any company is working on
introducing one.
Thanks.
Do I want non-reflection coating?23 Nov 2006 14:51 GMT12
I hated the glasses I bought 18 months ago.  They were impossible to clean
and are now are badly scatched.
The sales clerk said the problem was the antireflection coating; it holds
onto oils and scratches easily.  She recommended I go without it on my new
Vision insurance claim question23 Nov 2006 01:02 GMT2
I had a question about a vision insurance claim problem.  Here's the
story -
I found this doctor (Doctor A) listed under my in-netowrk provider,
under my vision insurance plan.  Made an appointment for an eye
Getting New Progressives...22 Nov 2006 15:04 GMT9
Against my better judgement, I plan on buying progressive eyeglasses at
LensCrafters.... They are the only place in the area that has a descent
selection of frames, and I have to buy frames from them in order to get
their promotion of 50% off lenses.
