Optical zones for contacts17 Sep 2006 06:27 GMT9
I started wearing contacts just over a week ago, and now have one

Thus I am putting my lenses in saline solution overnight. The saline

I am about to order new lenses, and would like to get the "best all around"
lenses that do not cost too much. I am -2.25 / -2.25. I wear my lenses 12-14
hrs/day, lots of computer work.
At this point, I am considering Coopervision Frequency 55 and Ciba Focus
blurry vision-cataract surgery15 Sep 2006 18:19 GMT5
My 92-year old mother had cactaract surgery some years ago--I think
about 8-9 years. Now the vision in one eye is poor for distance and she
says her doctor can't correct it any better.  Is this because the
replacement lens in her eye has deteriorated--do they wear out or

Help needed! Identify these frames...13 Sep 2006 18:30 GMT1
I was hoping that somebody out there might be able to identify these
frames. They used to belong to my girlfriend Judy, but part of the
frame that holds the fishing line lens-holder broke about a year ago.
She's replaced them with similar frames, but she really, really loved
Progressives13 Sep 2006 14:22 GMT18
One thing that puzzles me. Why can't progressive lenses be made in such
a way that each level of correction extends horizontally from edge to
edge rather that correction only in a centralized column with blurry
peripheral vision.

I used to get alot of ripped Acuvue Advanced lenses and was switched to

success with them in terms of ripping.  For my right eye I have Acuvue
Advanced for Asthigmatism and my doctor said that I am fitted with them
