Does this seem like dry eye?05 Aug 2006 21:32 GMT6
Some background, I'm in my late 30's, I do computer work for a
living and I wear glasses for a slight astigmatism. I have no vision
problems not described below. Certainly no flashes, dizziness or
nausea.
bad perscription and big frames05 Aug 2006 17:46 GMT8
I just got a new pair of perscription sunglasses.  I purchased the Ray
Ban Wayfarers, which are a quite large plastic frame.  I noticed when I
put them on that everything was a little distorted, especially on the
sides.  I felt taller and had weird depth perception, almost a

A sudden onset of wavy lines in the lower/right

When Vitreous Detaches From Macular05 Aug 2006 02:28 GMT1
According to my ophthalmologist & a retina specialist, I'm having PVD. I
guess the vitreous will eventually detach from the macular. When that
happens, what do I expect to see? The same blue, white-ish flashes that I
see in my peripheral vision, or something else? I'm just ...
2 or 1?05 Aug 2006 01:37 GMT2
I'm finally considering ordering contact lenses online, after being a
glasses wearer for about 30 years (I started wearing glasses in third
grade).
I've just been looking around online for daily disposables, and I
Publish in the American Scientist04 Aug 2006 20:51 GMT4
I took it upon myself to contact the American Scientist in regard to their
publishing a paper on progressive myopia. There response, in part, was:

Flickering globe around my blind spot.04 Aug 2006 05:43 GMT1
I sometimes see a dimly flickering globe at around 15 degrees to the right
off the center, that is, where my normal blind spot is located. A black line
that looks like a barbed wire sometimes appears and disappears in a split
second on that area, too. A retina specialist didn't ...
Clear lens extraction (CLE)?04 Aug 2006 03:18 GMT5
I have nystagmus and have high myopia (-15).  My BCVA is 20/80 on
average.
Would CLE give me better quality vision along with a better BCVA?
I'm thinking my nystagmus may not allow me to get the best result from
Allergic to Contacts?03 Aug 2006 21:26 GMT11
Last week I posted a message in which I asked the group which IOL they
thought would be right for me.  I had just seen a Lasik/Opthamologist
Surgeon, and he suggested a Clear Lens Extraction for me.  I told him it had
become increasingly more difficult for me to tolerate wearing ...

cornea swelling after astigmatic keratotomy -- how long ?03 Aug 2006 06:35 GMT5
Typically how long does corneal swelling last after astigmatic
keratotomy?  When can one expect it not to affect visual acuity?
Ten days after a.k. plus cataract repair, my uncorrected visual
acuity is still only 20/100.
