| Contact Lens Fitting - 3 months so far (astigmatism) | 01 Sep 2006 00:47 GMT | 11 |
My wife has astigmatism in one eye and it has already been about 3 months of weekly visits trying different contacts, and she is still unable to obtain a good fit. I was wondering if after 3 months, many of you would consider giving

| Is It Worth Removing the IOL? | 31 Aug 2006 18:16 GMT | 10 |
I had cataract surgery 12 days ago in my right eye (my left eye doesn't have useable central vision due to subretinal bleeding long time ago). I wanted my eye set for reading distance and my surgeon did a great job. The diopter of my right eye was -18.00D before the surgery and ...

My first post to this ng. For many years I've had Dry Eye Syndrome, which I now believe has progressed to Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (due to the Hormone treatment I've had over the last 18mths for Prostate Cancer.)

| IOP after cataract surgery | 28 Aug 2006 16:04 GMT | 2 |
I had a 2 week post-op checkup today. My IOP on the day after the surgery was 16 and now it's 22. My docs thought "22" was fine but after some discussion with me, they wanted me to use only one drop of EconoPred (steroid srop) & 3 drops of Nevanac a day because EconoPred was more ...

| Contrast Issues | 28 Aug 2006 11:13 GMT | 1 |
Since I was led to believe that one of the vision tests performed on me was for migraine, i posted in there a few days ago. Someones mentioned scotopic sensitivity, and that's got me thinking about contrast problems. First the scotopic sensitivy, is visual stress, or irlen ...

| Harmful free advice | 27 Aug 2006 22:19 GMT | 19 |
I pretty much stay out of the myopia prevention mess, but when they start talking hyperopia, I get mad because they are advocating something that can harm the child's cognitive development. Ace probably cannot be prosecuted as I think he is a minor. Once he

| Ganzfeld Stimulator | 27 Aug 2006 17:50 GMT | 2 |
I found the name of the device that I stuck my head into, which was basically a box on wheels, with a goldfish bowl, chin rest, three black dots a white background, and a choice of lights... either, a pulsing blue spark, a "yellowish" light, or a really bright white pulsing light ...

| Loss of peripheral vision | 27 Aug 2006 04:59 GMT | 5 |
I have developed a sight problem within the last 5 years, where part of my peripheral visual field has gone in both eyes. The scotoma (I think that's the right word) are just above the central vision. If I stand in front of an Amsler grid and blink each eye separately, I can see ...
