I recently purchased a new pair of frames and lenses.  The frames are
my first pair of rimless.  The lenses are high-index.  I really like
the way the glasses look...but not so much how I see through them.  I

I have a question regarding a pair of single vision spectacles I am
thinking of purchasing from Lenscrafters.  The frames are rimless,
drillmounted and my doctor has recommended a 1.67 high index lense with
anti-reflective coating.  The cost for the frame was $159.95 and the

What causes an eye to become bloodshot?  I did some fairly strenuous team
exercise on Tuesday and that evening I notice my eye was bloodshot at the
bottom.  Could it have been the exertion?  I didn't feel anything poke me in
the eye. The next day I didn't wear my contacts but have ...

Question About "Add" Value27 Jun 2006 14:05 GMT12
I am primarily Presbyopic & my prescription I OD & OS +0.5; add 2.00. I
have progressive lenses & my question is about the reading strength of
the lenses. Is it 0.5 + 2.00=2.5 diopters or just 2.00 diopters at the
bottom of the lens.
sick of astigmatism (soft torics)27 Jun 2006 12:49 GMT48
Just got my frequency 55 soft toric trial contacts after two weeks. Again,
they are Frequency 55's, which I really hate. I wore contacts several years
ago, and it took several tries to "get it right."
I haven't worn them for about 4 years. I went to Eyeland and my prescription
Morning dry eye?27 Jun 2006 03:00 GMT7
For the last few months I've had this thing where the vision in one or
both of my eyes is foggy when I wake first thing in the morning.  I'm
not sure, but which eye is foggy seems to be related to which side I
was sleeping on.  The problem clears in 5 minutes or so, so it's hard
polycarb vs 1.67 for weak prescription26 Jun 2006 00:45 GMT25
Ok, Doc is really advising against CR-30 and recommends
polycarb, or as an alternative 1.67, 'cause I'm getting drill
mounts. Air Titanium rimless.

Retina Detachment-  Some Questions23 Jun 2006 22:28 GMT7
Two weeks ago I had emergency surgery for a detached retina.  I had the

My recovery seems to be going well.  I see the doctor in one more week
to determine resumption of normal life activities- driving, work, ...

This problem has been affecting me for the past 3 years, on and off.
However, in the past 6 months, it has become worse. Before, a good rest
