lasik and lenticular myopia31 Mar 2006 21:02 GMT4
my daughter's doctor advised us that she would not be a candidate for lasik
because she has lenticular myopia. i thought lasik would be possible since
the problem was with the lens and that it would reshape it. any thoughts on
this?
Where is Clear Care?31 Mar 2006 04:25 GMT2
It's been several months now (probably approaching half a year mark) since CIBA
Vision Clear Care peroxide-based contact lens care solution became unavailable.
Stores still keep the price tags on the shelves, but it looks like it might take
quite some time before this product ...

My prescription is Distance:    -2.25 left eye,  -2.25 right eye,   for

2 pair vs. progressives30 Mar 2006 15:32 GMT9
First, a question about my prescription. It is distance: -2.25 left and
right,  Reading +2.00 left and right. Is this prescription for a single
vision lens with curvature that varies or is it for a bifocal?  Second,
I've tried progressives before and had difficulty with them - ...

I want to take a minute here to reflect on the deteriorating
relationship between optometrists and ophthalmologists. Most of you
know that I have been practicing for 25 years, but I doubt if many of
you know how rapidly that things have deteriorated on the OD-MD

except the last 4 characters on each line. I had difficulty even seeing
the last 4 on each line. I am wondering if this was a problem with the

Superior Epithelial Arcuate Lesions28 Mar 2006 18:23 GMT12
Ugh.
Third try at fitting intra-limbal lenses at SCCO yesterday.  First

Second pair had cyl but were, inexplicably, about 2d over-plussed.

My Optometrist says my corneas are too flat for refractive surgery28 Mar 2006 14:57 GMT3
I'm myopic (right -5.00, left -5.75).  During a routine eye examination,
my Optometrist casually remarked that I would not be a good candidate
for refractive surgery because my corneas are unusually flat.  He explained
that refractive surgery corrects myopia by flattening the ...
