Tumor in eyelid question03 Feb 2006 13:06 GMT2
My colleague is afflicted with a swollen eyelid - especially a little
bump the size of a pea inside the eyelid above and between the nose and
eye.  She had a an MRI which showed nothing.  She had a cat scan which
showed the little bump.  The doctor wants to do a biopsy by cutting ...

My son is 6 1/2 years old.  He has seen a pediatric ophthalmology for over 4

Questions on upcoming lens replacement03 Feb 2006 00:33 GMT11
I am going in a couple days for measurements for lens replacement due to, as
my opthamologist says, "substantial" cataracts.  I am 49 years old and am
nearsighted with corrective lenses at about -3.
My job requires me to spend a lot of time working on a computer and I am

My next choice: Oasys? Or an aspheric lens?02 Feb 2006 17:46 GMT14
I just found out that Oasys is now available in plus powers. My
optometrist said that when he gets his trial lenses in, he will call me
and I can then stop in and try on a pair (+.50 OS and -.75 OD).  I am
currently in Acuvue 2, which are the most comfortable lens I've ever
Acuvue Advance to Oasys Positive Switch02 Feb 2006 16:48 GMT6
My wife has been suffering through the use of Acuvue Advance lenses for
the past year. Mostly the brand new Advance lenses were scratchy out of
the pkg. I told her about the fairly new Oasys lenses and she just went
into the eye doctor. He had her fitted with the trial Oasys lenses ...
-.5 & -1.25 for lens replacement??02 Feb 2006 16:31 GMT2
I recently put a post requesting information regarding an upcoming lens
replacement.
Thank you all for your responses.
I had a couple suggestions of requesting between -1.25 and -1.5 setting to
hybrid CL01 Feb 2006 06:05 GMT1
I am interested in the hybrid contact lens coming out this spring. It
has a rigid (RGP) center and a soft (hydrogel) outer skirt. I believe
that the brand name is SynergEyes. Have any of the docs here heard
anything about the level of patient satisfaction in vision and comfort
