Prior to lasik I could see clearly to a distance of 3".  Now have blurred
vision if an object is closer than 6" to the eye.  I understand that the
lasik correction for distance vision will reduce the focusing ability up
close.   Is this much of a change normal?

I have a strong Rx -15 with astigmatism. I had 1.6 index glasses. I had a
problem with the anti reflection coating and got the lenses replaced a year
later but something was wrong. These lenses had nearly no fringing and lower
distortion in the corner. I figured they came out ...
Presbyopia and vision therapy09 Feb 2006 21:22 GMT6
As part of my vision therapy I "exercise" with a minus lens.
Basically, I read some small print with one eye and read through a -6
lens for every other word.  When I started I could only manage -3.  I
was wondering if there is any reason to believe that doing this type of
buying Contact Lenses over internet09 Feb 2006 18:29 GMT1
Hi, I'm thinking of buying B&L SofLens 66 lenses over the internet. I use
them for the left eye only, but when I try to place an order the websites
insist on specifications for the Right lens too. My question is: are the R
and L lenses of this brand identical, so that I can plug in ...

I'm sure this has all been answered here before but please help me out.
I need new progressives made with a slightly stronger prescription than I

Why is ONLY 20/20 Vision so important?08 Feb 2006 17:19 GMT30
I have been watching this newsgroup for sometime and always seen quotes
that "20/20 vision" is THE best to have. Here in Europe we use a "visus
table". I'll point out:
20/70 = aprox.    Visus of 0.28
double vision problem08 Feb 2006 05:34 GMT3
I have a double vision problem in my left eye. I've been to see an
Optometrist and received the deluxe "medical" eye examination (i.e. more
thorough that the get-a-eyeglasses-prescription type exam). I was
pronounced healthy with 20/20 corrected vision. The optometrist could find ...
