I used to get called out at night.  Many times, I was in the field

My brother recently bought a pair of glasses from an EyeMasters at the
mall.  This year, he opted to pay more for the "thinner, lighter,

partially because one of the frames was a "half-frame", and more of the

Can I amend my doctor's Rx?09 Jan 2006 06:04 GMT2
At my recent eye doctor visit it was discovered that my vision (I'm
slightly nearsighted) has actually been improving a bit, although it
seems more likely to me that I'm kind of between lens strengths. I was
at -1.00 in each eye for years, and then it was changed to -1.25 about
Otis Brown - Legal Update09 Jan 2006 05:42 GMT27

I have a problem looking at flat screen monitors -- the colors are too

How safe is a retrobulbar block?08 Jan 2006 13:47 GMT6
My surgeon wants to use retrobulbar anesthesia given with a blunt
needle.  He believes that it is very safe and states that he has never
had an instance of global perforation.  I'm very nearsighted (7
diopters of myopia), and I've read that this is a contraindication for
I need a nice pair of frames -- good ones -- but at big discount.  Where?07 Jan 2006 06:43 GMT38
Maybe four years ago I got a really nice (pair?) of glasses-frames
at costco, for about $100.
I think that frames like that went for over $200 at the optician.
Time to get new ones -- but costco now has only fairly small
