| Is this normal at 48? | 21 Jan 2006 03:48 GMT | 3 |
I will be 49 this year. I do not wear glasses, however, I do have some to read with. It seems like things close up are blurry and hard to read, but distance things I have no problem with. I bought some reading glasses at the pharmacy a couple of years ago

| Specs for near work, astigmatism | 21 Jan 2006 03:41 GMT | 7 |
Here's an honest question for the professionals in the audience: I've seen several posts lately in which I'm led to believe that as an astigmatic myope I *must* keep my spectacles on my face as I will be rendered inexplicably unable to read if I take them off.

| Contacts and their limitations on presbyopes | 20 Jan 2006 00:49 GMT | 2 |
As soon as I can unless you or someone proves that orthoK is nearly as dangerous as laser surgury. From what I read, its nearly as safe as regular daily wear contacts and 10x safer than overnight extend wear contacts. In the meantime, I will be trying different brands of soft

| loss of vision | 19 Jan 2006 21:26 GMT | 6 |
I don't know if this is brain related or vision related. I have been having this weird thing where all of a sudden on eye will get bright sparkles in front of it and its very hard to see. It is very similar to when you rub your eyes real hard and then re open them and its hard to ...

| Contact lens question | 18 Jan 2006 23:02 GMT | 8 |
I've been wearing contacts for 15 years or so to correct pretty severe myopia. I know I'm > -10 in each eye, probably more, but I don't have an actual Rx. I'm 45 and should be presbyopic, but I'm still "a few clicks" from needing reading glasses. I'm also a long time T2 ...
