I cant stop thinking what perfect or supervision looks like! Can any of
you blessed with exceptional vision describe what your world looks to
you? I can imagine but I want an accurate idea :)

Practice question for Ophthalmologists & Optometrists24 Dec 2005 04:39 GMT1
I currently work for an ophthalmologist who sold his (solo) practice.  The
buyer is a corporation owned by an optometrist.  The plan is to have a full
time optometrist with an ophthalmologist in for surgery and maybe one day a
week for clinic.

Should I accpt this vision?23 Dec 2005 16:25 GMT8
1-1/2 weeks ago I had a Tecnis IOL implanted in my right eye, due to a
very mature cataract. (Only 50, but had been hyperopic, had Staar ICL
implanted, ended up with cataracts both eyes).
The left eye was converted to IOL a couple years ago, and is under
frames should be canted down?23 Dec 2005 10:57 GMT2
Why are prescription frames so rarely canted down at all?  Your normal
gaze tends to be somewhat downward.  Your skull geometry blocks upward
angles and accomodates downward ones.  Even when looking ahead, you are
scanning downward such as to avoid tripping over things.
prescription glasses for night driving23 Dec 2005 03:39 GMT6
I am trying to find out what are the optimal prescription (or otherwise)
eyeglasses for night driving. The problem is simple: on a dark road you
usually stare in a brightly lit (by headlamps) area in front of your car as
long as you're going straight. But when you start turning ...
Recurrent Corneal Erosion23 Dec 2005 00:49 GMT8
Back in March I woke up to the most intense pain I have ever felt.  It
started in my left eye and if felt as if something was stuck in there under
my lid.  After going to a few doctors they told me I have a condition called
Recurrent Corneal Erosion.  I have tried the ointment ...
bifocal line distortion22 Dec 2005 20:40 GMT2
I just got a new pair of polycarbonate flat top 35 bifocals and find
that there is some blur around the segment line that is very
distracting and cuts into the field of vision.  I've also noticed some
"rainbow" effects from the line in certain light.  My old bifocal
Presbyopia : does 1's minimum distance needed vary with season ?22 Dec 2005 13:45 GMT8
Here in m'sia, in 7-05 to 11-05, I needed 2' distance to focus an
image onto my retina, but now in 12-05 rainy season ( coldest time
of year ) I need just 1½'.  I guess the colder tap water I use to clean
my eyes or bathe caused this reduction.
for R. Martellaro, or anyone; question about exec bifocials21 Dec 2005 23:19 GMT6
I've used a lot of exec bifocals and trifocals over the years and am
curious about one thing.
Why is it that the seg lines are not as perfect as they used to be?
I mean I remember them calling exec glass bifocals "no jump" because
Contacts feeling dry20 Dec 2005 20:03 GMT8
I am finding my daily disposable contacts very drying. I had some two weekly
disposables in the year and they seemed more comfortable, although the
dailies seem to give me better near vision - the others felt as though they
slipped a bit.
Reading with one eye shut20 Dec 2005 00:05 GMT18
Over the past year or two, I've caught myself closing my right eye when
reading a computer screen, and more often, a book.  It seems to happen
more often when I'm tired.
I'm 28 years old, and have been wearing glasses/contacts to correct
Starbursts and halos, is it cataracts? What else could it be?19 Dec 2005 22:04 GMT2
I am going to a corneal specialist to learn about what might be
causing night vision problems with starbursts and halos around
lights and sensitivity to glare almost exclusively at nigh

Can't tolerate rigid lenses19 Dec 2005 21:32 GMT9
I've had RGP lenses for 4 years but have never been able to wear them
more than half a day.   I've been to four different optomentrists and
have five different pairs.  None are better or worse than the others
for wearablility.   The doctor says it's a poor tear break up time.
