Laser surgery 101 in Minneapolis area17 Nov 2005 04:36 GMT6
I am considering laser surgery and am looking for recommendations for a
good eye surgeon in the Minneapolis area. I know absolutely nothing
about LASIK, LASEK, and PRK and am wondering if one of them has become
the dominant procedure to use (and which equipment/technology should be

I am planning to have cataract surgery in the near future. Does anyone have
any experience with the new AcrySoft ReSTOR multifocal IOL made by Alcon
inc. If so I would like to know your experience with vision clarity,
adjustment period, night vision problems, etc. Thanks.
Presbyopia16 Nov 2005 04:04 GMT6
Hello. I know it's a seemingly inevitable result of age but does
*everyone* get presbyopia?
Eye adaptation to lenses?15 Nov 2005 17:47 GMT34
I'm curious to what extent, if any, the eyes will adapt to lenses.  For

with mild cylinder correction, would he just see blurry in one
dimension forever, or would his eyes somehow adapt over time?

Crystal Clear LCD Screen, Blurry paper14 Nov 2005 14:27 GMT10
Thought I'd post again as my previous post probably came across as neurotic.
Right, after two and a half weeks off from work on sick, I've returned
to work to find nice shiny new LCD Monitors.
I am 28, otherwise fit and healthy, apart from being overweight, and
Contact lens exam from Optometrist and/or Ophthalmologist14 Nov 2005 04:55 GMT10
I need to have an annual exam for glaucoma, so I just completed a visit
to my ophthalmologist.  He gave me a complete eye exam and gave me my
eyeglass prescription.
When I asked about getting the prescription for my contacts, he said
Iris is lower in one eye13 Nov 2005 18:18 GMT6

Hypertropia13 Nov 2005 12:41 GMT12
Is this possible to just appear overnight... there is no physical

After what age should it supposed not to happen spontaneously?
medication and lenses12 Nov 2005 13:32 GMT2
Can you use eye medication while wearing lenses?  I have occasional bouts of
iritis and am going through one now.  My practice has been to put in the
drops, wait awhile and then re-insert the lenses. I haven't had a problem
with this.    Is this an ok practice?  How long does it ...
Greenish-yellow 11 Nov 2005 16:38 GMT2
Every morning, off-white mucous-y stuff collects in the inner corners
of my eyes, particularly when I instill lubricating drops or saline.
Back from trip to Colorado (eyes were thoroughly brutalized) last

I see lots of postings on your rights to your contact lens
prescription; does the same hold true for your eyeglass prescription?
My sister tells me the mall store where she gets her eyes examined
won't give her the prescription.  If this is not legal, does anyone
