whilst comfortable are not giving me clarity of vision.  My opthalmologist

Can vertical bifocals be made?08 Sep 2005 19:59 GMT1
I'm interested in ordering glasses for use in front of the computer
where I could shift my eyes to the left and see the TV about 10 feet
away, behind the computer. The center of the TV is on the same axis as
the center of the computer. Executive bifocal lenses split vertically
Selecting a Surgeon for Lasik08 Sep 2005 01:06 GMT5
I would appreciate advice.  I'm choosing b/n two surgeons in Austin,
TX.  One (Dr. Stephen Dell) has undoubtedly performed the most lasik
surgeries in the area (thousands).  Roughly 5 years ago he was
considered the best surgeon in Austin for lasik.  However, he's too
Contrast sensitivity tests07 Sep 2005 18:33 GMT4
Where could I order (for a cheap price) some sine-wave grating contrast
sensitivity test prints? If you have some experience with those, could you
tell how reliable is the test and is it difficult to manage the correct
illumination?
Laser or Lasik eye surgery questions07 Sep 2005 16:35 GMT15
Anybody against people getting laser or lasik eye corrective surgery to correct vision? I been thinking of getting this for myself for years, but always back out for fear of complications. Anybody have complication stories? Maybe they have something new on the market? Thank you ...

plastic) eyeglasses and when I was cleaning them one day, the left nose
piece, protector fell out, and I can't find it anywhere.

Question about contact-lens prescription03 Sep 2005 17:59 GMT14
Hi.  I currently wear Sunsoft toric lenses.  I have a high degree of
astigmatism, especially in my right eye, which has a prescription of
Sph -1.25, Cyl -3.50, and Axis 015.  If I want to try another brand of
contact lenses, do I need to have my eye doctor give me a different
Another myopia theory03 Sep 2005 17:02 GMT91
With s.m.v. now bingeing on the pathogenesis of myopia, I'm now ready to
postulate yet another theory.  It's pretty simple, and is based on the
anatomy of the human eye and the geometry of converging to bifoveally
fixate a near object.
URGENT:  shingles/herpes(?) infection getting in/around eyes03 Sep 2005 07:22 GMT15
I have a shingles/herpes infection (not sure) that was responding
exceedingly well to 1 gm 2X/day of Valtrex but that really flared up again
with a day or two of reducing the dose to 500mg 2X/day.
I understand that this is quite serious if it gets into the eyes.   Last
Multifocal contacts...02 Sep 2005 20:50 GMT2
In preparation for getting fitted out with multifocal lenses, I did a lot of
internet research (including searching the archives of this group) and came
up with very little apart from a few messages here seriously questioning
their value. I decided to go ahead and try them anyway ...
I've officially given up on soft contact lenses02 Sep 2005 20:10 GMT1
It is now official:  I've tried every brand of soft lens suitable for
my eyeballs and their separate correction requirements.  They all suck
from my POV, which I suppose is the one that counts the most.  At this
point I'm debating whether I want to hassle with the fitting of and
healing mind body and soul02 Sep 2005 00:30 GMT5
Dear Forum Members,
Most people in the alternative healthcare field have heard of
radionics, yet few understand what that discipline is actually about.
When we discover the truth behind this fascinating subject, it quickly

More on PRK01 Sep 2005 08:41 GMT9
Thank you to all ODs and friend who support me with their feedback, yes
it just didn't sink in well with me to get the PRK with this
prescription. Military OD at Hawaii who would perform the surgery denied
to do so. I got the email. I am not that upset but I have some concerns,
