Has anyone here experienced definitive vision improvement when using
Eyebright or Bilberry or others?
If so, in what area did you notice the improvements?
How long did it take to see the first improvement and did it continue

i am a 61 yr old man with a number of medical issues... however, my

Is there any surgery that helps presbyopia? I heard a
few years ago they were working on something.
Seeking Advice on Lasik Surgery23 Sep 2005 05:40 GMT5
My wife wants to have Lasik surgery performed on her eyes.  She
consulted with a doctor who had various pricing plans, from a one-time
surgery to a lifetime plan which was *considerably* more expensive than
the one-time surgery.  Is the lifetime plan worth the money, or is it a

Method of alternation of lenses. Whether it is applied in America?21 Sep 2005 22:29 GMT14
In Russia we apply a next way. The medical sister periodically changes
lenses in a frame of the child. The child looks through them at the
table for check of visual acuity and tries to consider minimally
possible letters. Various sequences of alternation of lenses with
Dear Prevention Minded Friends21 Sep 2005 21:01 GMT7
For what purpose do you promote using plus lenses, is it for PREVENTION
of MYOPIA, or is it for REVERSING MYOPIA? Do you hope to stop myopia
from progressing? Or further reverse it? Because none of these are
valid.  If this theory, when applied, would not work for even one single ...
Post-operative refraction21 Sep 2005 20:51 GMT27
Following cataract extraction, I am keen on getting lenses (probably
glasses, initially) to neutralize the remaining refraction. I am wondering
if this is likely to be stable at one month, considering the large incision
made to implant a sclerally-fixated IOL. Any opinions?
Renu with "moisture lock"21 Sep 2005 20:46 GMT6
I've used almost a whole bottle of the stuff.  When rinsing my lenses with it,
I dump the extra into a plate, which I then flick into the bathtub and let
air-dry.  There is significant buildup in the plate.  When I scrub it off with
a nail brush (it's sort of like soap scum/dried ...

1 day lenses as montly21 Sep 2005 13:25 GMT6
So, after 15 years of contact lens wear, I've just heard and read about
people using 1 day lenses as monthly lenses. And, some of them have
been doing this for several years, saving themselves several hundreds
of pounds.
my new glasses21 Sep 2005 03:08 GMT6
I am myopic. For a couple of years, I've noticed that my present
glasses don't work very well; specifically, to focus on anything from
the tv set to infinity, I have to hold my glasses two to four inches
away from my face. I recently had my eyes examined, and got a
note to s.m.v. trolls20 Sep 2005 16:00 GMT4
I must appologize for referring to non-trolls as the "intelligent"
ones.  That obvious slip in prose should have read "the informed" ones.
Obviously many trolls are intelligent, even if ignorant and/or misguided
in their zeal for the conspiracy theories...
Prescription for astigmatism only20 Sep 2005 07:54 GMT11
This is my prescription:
Right eye: (12°, -1.75) - 2.50
Left eye: (6°, -2.00) - 2.75
I've become more myopic, another -0.25 in my left eye, mainly because
