contact lenses overnight use19 Jul 2005 02:59 GMT12
I would like to know if the Acuvue 2 are safe for a 1 week overnight use.
Is it better the Acuvue 2 or the Focus Night and Day (I will remove them
anyway after 1 week because I wouldn't trust them for a 30 day overnight
use)
should I delay getting progressives?19 Jul 2005 00:36 GMT1
Hi, I am 46 and have had a -5.6 or so Rx since I was 12 yrs old.  In
the last 6 months, in low light, I have begun removing (lifting up) my
glasses to read something (or I turn up the lights). In good light I
can read fine. I do a lot of computer work and have no trouble there. I
Need interpreter for scientific language 18 Jul 2005 20:08 GMT7
Is there someplace where I can get information on what my ophthalmologist is
telling me in language that I can understand?  She is supposedly very good
at cataract treatment and glaucoma treatment, and has a pleasant
personality.  However, when she talks to me about what she ...
Glass glasses and hot coatings18 Jul 2005 19:59 GMT6
I have been using antireflection coated plastic lenses now for about 18
months. For a while, I was surprised by how well they were surviving
cleaning. Now, scratches and fuzziness is beginning to show up.
How easy is it to get real glass lens spectacles these days? It seems the
Binocular Microscope - seeing two fields18 Jul 2005 14:14 GMT3
This is question I've had for 30 years. Maybe someone here knows the
answer.
In the 1970's I worked at a 'free clinic' for a couple of years. Part
of my job required that I use a microscope with two eyepieces. I found

weird "bubble" on my eye18 Jul 2005 02:27 GMT5
Twice now I've fallen asleep on the couch and when I woke up there was
a clear "skin bubble" on the lower right, outside corner, of my right
eye.  The bubble sort of wrinkles up if I push on the lower lid,
otherwise it's flat but obviously not firmly attached to the eye.  It
50% failure rate in Biomedics Toric?16 Jul 2005 00:08 GMT7
Intrepid readers may recall me mentioning I have an assortment of soft
lenses to try.  My left lens is a toric and I was provided three
different powers, same brand/bc/dia.  Ostensibly the lenses are
identical except for the thickness and I imagine the difference is so
things getting dimmer?15 Jul 2005 18:02 GMT4
I seem to have a vision problem that has been getting worse.  I am 55.  I have
used reading glasses for a few years.  Now it seems I need more and more light
to read with.
I don't have diabeties that I know of.  My blood sugar test has been about
Dr. Bates and the Helmholtz Theory15 Jul 2005 01:50 GMT26

continuous wear vs daily disposable14 Jul 2005 23:40 GMT2
I was one of the first people in the UK to use Acuvue disposable contact
lenses. I was on a routine where they were worn for a week and then replaced
with a new pair after a short (half a day) sabbatical. After a while my
optician recommended that to 'play safe' I should remove ...
How long to adapt to bifocal contacts?14 Jul 2005 23:19 GMT4
I'm new to contacts. I'm new to any sort of proper
vision correction. I've used store bought readers
for a couple of years now.  When my arms got too
short I pretty quickly progressed to +2.00 drug store
Humphrey's FDT Visual field14 Jul 2005 22:21 GMT12
I am thinking about purchasing the above for my practice. Can anyone tell me
if cataracts will interfere with the results of the feild test more, less or

Regeneration?14 Jul 2005 15:00 GMT1
This will probably come across as a really weird question, but is it
possible for your eyesight to regenerate?
A few days ago I woke up and my right eye was really red.  At first I
thought it was pink eye, and I put in some Polysporin drops, but it did
