Folks,
I'd like to start with a short introduction and my brief vision history
and then I have some questions in my quest to become a military pilot.

red. My mother recommended that I use it, as it helped with her eyes when

Okay, I posted something similar in the past (in the "autorefractor"
thread), but I'm still having problems so I really hope someone can
give me some additional input (sorry, this is rather long winded).

I've had dry eye for an esitmated 3-4 years. It came on very gradually
so it's hard to really pinpoint when the condition began. While
struggling to get the condition diagnosed, I kept a log of eye issues
including pain levels and environmental factors. One thing I noticed

When I woke up this morning at 0700 I opened my eyes and every little
thing immediately sprang into focus.
Thought I:  A miracle has occured!
Then I realized that I fell asleep with my glasses on after I got up

 If one blinks the eye rapidly, an image is sometimes produced and
transmitted to the retina.   Has this phenomenon been studied anywhere?

I just want to know exactly what does 20/20 vision actually mean?
I am -5.00 in both eyes with an astigmatism in my right eye also.
I wear either glasses or contact lenses to correct this.
I can see the 2nd line from the bottom of the eyechart with both eyes

I am wearing my third to strongest pair of glasses, that means I have
to pairs of glasses that are stronger than the ones I am wearing.  If I
hold the magnifying glass a certain distance away from my face, making
the image upsidedown, the image comes into perfect focus.  Can someone

I had an IOL placed in left eye several years ago with fairly good
results. Now I am considering doing the right eye as my right eye vision
in getting bad with loss of focus, color balance and so on.  I'm 66
years old and have been diagonosed with posterior vitreous detachment

My grandfather was diagnosed with Macular Degeneration in his right
eye.  He went in to get checked because when using that eye, straight
lines look wavy to him.  The doctor said he is 60% sure this is what he
has and for him to come back in two weeks for another check up.

My last eyesight test showed I am +4 in my right eye and +6 in the
left.,
and at present wear night and day contact lenses. Does anybody know
if I would be suitable for conductive keratoplasty?

I am a 31 year old woman who recently had carotid stenting
