Question About My New Glasses17 Apr 2005 09:54 GMT21
Every four or five years I like to get an eye test and a pair of new
glasses.  My first two eye tests were done at the local Super Wal-Mart and I
had no problems with the tests or glasses.
Well, it's been four years so I decided to get a new pair of glasses.

when is a prescription change significant?16 Apr 2005 18:17 GMT3
I had doubts about the reliability of an eye exam and went to get a
second opinion on the refraction since that is the one part of the exam
with a measurable result the patient can see.
Please tell me if there is a significant difference between any two of
Eye trouble while reading15 Apr 2005 22:03 GMT28
Recently it has been very hard for me to keep my eyes moving
horizontally along a line of text while reading. I have attempted to
lubricate my eyes with some eye solution and artifical tears. This
problem has persisted for the past 3 weeks with absolutely no avail.

I recently treated an 8 year old who has occurences of double vision. I
discovered that he also is suffering from divergence insufficiency.

an optomologist. I'll be pleased for any advice.
Does BOTOX injection in Rectus Medialis relieve esotropia?15 Apr 2005 06:45 GMT4
My Doctor recommended surgical "loosening" of my recti mediali in order
to relieve me of esotopia of 5-10 prisms. Given the small deviation, is
it better that this "loosening" be achieved through BOTOX injections in
these muscles?
Advance vs. Night-and-day contacts15 Apr 2005 01:37 GMT16
Time for my annual eye exam, and I've been in Acuvue Advance contacts
(+3.25, +2.25, BC 8.7) for the last year. I find them comfortable, but
kind of variable in terms of visual clarity.
I also like the idea of a continuous wear contact such as the Focus
eyemed vs. vsp14 Apr 2005 21:45 GMT2
This may be off topic, but here goes:
I'm interested in hearing from anyone who is on both panels. Intel
changed from vsp to eyemed on Jan 1, and the eyemed plan was supposed to
"mirror" the vsp plan, but doesn't seem to in some areas.

Reversing Myopia: Why is Squinting bad?14 Apr 2005 15:12 GMT16
I have read that squinting can only be beneficial.  On the other hand I
have head squinting will halt all progress in myopia prevention.  I
have also heard that people become myopic from squinting to see in the
first place.  Does anyone know about this?
