6 years ago I underwent an operation for vertical strabismus in Europe: L.E.: IR retroposition (I believe this is also known as recession), R.E.: IR myectomy (I believe this is also known as resection I was told that there was no risk, but there "could be no change".

Does eye exam for contact lenses expire after one year? I have my eyes examed back to Feburary 2003. However, I went to Walmart tody to buy contact lense and was told the prescription was expired. And it is gonna cost another $65 for eye exam. It really does not make sense to

I have just been diagnosed with a macular hole in one eye. I have to discuss with my specialist what my options are in mid January. As I live in Australia, we may not have the aids that I have read about to help the face-down recovery period.

Several times I read that prisms are not tolerated well by strabismus patients. I wore them too and did not feel comfortable. But I can't exactly pinpoint the reasons. Does anyone know why prisms are not tolerated??
