red eyes09 Sep 2004 12:41 GMT7
IS washing your eyes in water a good way to get rid of this allergic
pain in the arse.  I have red eyes which I was told are from both dust
allergys and the pollution in the city I live
Inconsistent Medical Study Results09 Sep 2004 04:16 GMT2
Dear Friends,
I separate pure-science from pure-medicine.
In science, you do an experiment -- i.e., to
prove that the natural eye is dynamic, and
I just got disinfectant solution in my eyes!09 Sep 2004 03:25 GMT5
Instead of washing my contacts with saline I used disinfectant! It
stuck to my eyes. I did what it said on the bottle and flushed my eyes
with water. It's been about 10 hours later and it's still burning. Has
anyone ever done this before? I'm probably going to to to the doctor
Dry eye syndrome or?  Only *one* eye affected08 Sep 2004 13:49 GMT4
I wear soft cibavision standard contacts.  I'm having a problem with only
*1* eye(my right eye), that seems to be unaffected by removing my contacts
for days at a time.  From researching on the net, I'd say that it is "dry
eye" syndrome, or possibly chronic conjunctivitis.  Let me ...
Is the minus lens safe?07 Sep 2004 23:19 GMT5
Subject:  Pure Scientific proof, vs.  OD-Proof
The ODs insist on "proof" with no definition of it.  I
don't know what they are thinking, but it is not of science, nor
part of science in my opinion.  This is the "majority opinion".
How the Accommodation System Works07 Sep 2004 21:15 GMT14
Dear Frends,
Jan suggested that I needed to clarify the definition
of accommodation.  This should answer his request
for that conceptual model.
Vision change after Lasik07 Sep 2004 21:15 GMT4
5 years ago (I'm 30 now) I had Lasik sugery. I thought it was the best
thing in life afterwards.  Before my sugery my left eye was -10.5 and
my right eye was -12.75.  Trying to do anything without contacts in
was impossible. (heck trying to even put my contacts in was a
Same old song07 Sep 2004 20:46 GMT17
Well it's nice to see, having been gone from here for a few weeks, that
nothing has changed.  Same old song.  Same arguments, same garbage just
stinking a little stronger.
Round and round and round and round. Boring. Don't you get tired of
Contact lens difficulties07 Sep 2004 09:41 GMT4
Living in the States now, but up until 5 years ago lived in the UK.
I wore contact lenses in the UK for around 12 years, started suffering
from a rash on my hands, couldnt hygenically take them in and out so
stopped wearing them.
Question about lens cracking on rimless frames.07 Sep 2004 09:28 GMT1
I got a pair of rimless frames with polycarbonate lenses recently and after
a few weeks I noticed some stress cracks around all 4 of the screws.  I took
them back, and recently got them back again.  The lenses seem to be attached
a little differently to the frames as there's an ...
Floaters07 Sep 2004 09:22 GMT5
I was up in London over the weekend to do Roberto Kaplans course
'Seeing differently'
One of the things that came up as a question was floaters.     Kaplan
made a few points which were interesting and made sense.
------ Cataracts, please help ! ---------07 Sep 2004 09:16 GMT1

has surfaced in the past 6 months or so.

Remedy For Vitreous Detachment?07 Sep 2004 03:52 GMT3
I have been diagnosed with PVT a few years ago. At that time my eye MD
wasn't aware of any remedies.  Are there any new developments in this
field to halt or reverse this problem?  It is getting so bad now that I
have large floater-like wisps or cloudy areas that move into my vision
Iritis or Conjunctivitis? Was I misdiagnosed?06 Sep 2004 16:49 GMT8
Hi all,I'm hoping someone can help me. :-)
I woke up on Thursday with my right eye all red. I thought maybe it
was just irritated and waited to see if it would go away. It
didn't,and today I noticed that the pupil is smaller on that eye,and
Wine, vision...05 Sep 2004 11:59 GMT2
