Too vain to wear glasses18 Jul 2004 22:12 GMT11
I have had a lazy eye from the age of 9. It was never corrected
through patches or prisms. At school and college, I would squint to
see the board. Anything was better than having to wear glasses. As my
myopia gradually worsened during my teens I finally decided, at the
AR coatings18 Jul 2004 21:38 GMT1
I've been wearing glasses for the past 13 years.  It was time for a

coating.  The brand used was Crizal.  When I got the glasses, I
noticed minute scratches near the center of one of the lenses.  I took
Eye patch on child's BAD eye??????????17 Jul 2004 20:43 GMT5
I have a question. My 6-year old son has just been diagnosed with poor
vision in his left eye and now has to wear eyeglasses (with just one
corrective lens). His left eye is also a lazy eye as a result, and his
ophthalmologist has prescribed an eye patch--to be worn for about 2 ...

Any new developments in photochromic materials?15 Jul 2004 02:11 GMT1
I wear progressives, correcting for presbyopia.  I have a strong preference
for photochromic lenses, currently using Transitions III.  I've followed
several older threads in this group on the subject of photochromics, but
I'm due for a new prescription soon, and I can't help ...
What's the best daily disposable for a CSI wearer?14 Jul 2004 14:21 GMT1
I'm wondering if anyone can suggest the best daily disposable for
someone currently wearing CSI daily wear lenses. The CSIs are 8.6 base
curve and 13.8 diameter. Trying to figure out what disposable lens would
be easiest to adapt to since I've worn the CSI for many, many years.
switch to focus dailies?14 Jul 2004 14:04 GMT5
I've been a very long time user of CSI daily wear contacts. Arrived at
them many years ago through some trial and error. (For instance couldn't
wear a B&L lens - had bad deposit problems).  I had not considered daily
disposables in the past because the cost seemed prohibitive. ...

two weeks after the cataract is removed from the left eye. This sounds
