I am 51, had lasik about 5 years ago correcting to 20/20 in both eyes. Was quite nearsighted before that. Last month I had a detached retina in my right eye, had surgery, had the buckle put around my eye and I'm recovering well. Can read quite well at about 14" now, but distance is

| Binocular glasses, do they work as plus lenses? | 08 Jun 2004 15:04 GMT | 12 |
I was wondering, assuming plus therapy works, if binocular glasses would help vision? They might help my myopia go more toward the plus side if used regularly? Or are they just another pair of minus glasses. I had these binocluar glasses for concerts, saw them and

Around 10pm all of a sudden I lost vision in the one eye with the implant/cataract surgery. It was a complete white light with no vision out of that eye for a few minutes then a minute or two of flashing lights. After the few minutes, the eye was fine. It scared me so bad I ...

I've been considering lasik for years, but keep putting it off in anticipation of technological improvements & to give U.S. surgeons more time to get experience. I'm near-sighted & wear contacts comfortably but I do a lot of outdoor activity where it would be
