Hey everyone,
I'm interested in trying one of the Silicon Hydrogel lenses. I've got my
prescription for my normal lenses, and I just buy lenses on-line. I've worn
the same precscription for ages now. Can I just order a box of  Purevision
Dr. Glazier's second opinion on prevention27 May 2004 04:12 GMT21
Dear Friends,

Stay Away From Eyeglass World!!!26 May 2004 15:08 GMT4
Eyeglass World is full of lazy, incompetent, liars. I strongly
recommend you run screaming from Eyeglass World.
First, their 2 for 1 offer is bogus. It's a continuous offer, not a
special. It saves you no money. They use high pressure sales
Floaters Driving me Crazy Again25 May 2004 20:19 GMT4
I have a lot of floaters - not as bad as some people I am sure.
Some float around my eye all over the place, some float around in a
distinct area (in fact one I have had since I was a child that is very
large), some seem attached to the edge of the eye and just kind of
Artificial-Pupil Contact Lens25 May 2004 15:18 GMT4
A few months ago, during cataract surgery, my right-eye iris was
damaged and now has a pupil that is several times larger than my left
eye and is no longer light sensitive.  Uncorrected vision in my right
eye is 20/50 under examining room conditions (which is about what was

http://www.paragoncrt.com/consumers/crt_works.asp
In its description its temporary if you don't use the contacts every

Seems like a good step before laser surgery.

refractive Lensectomy24 May 2004 19:49 GMT1
I am a 60 yo male with -10 in both eyes.  I don't have cataracts yet, wear
reading glasses for close up work,  and have nearly 20/20 eyesight using RGP
contact lens.  I am leaning toward having a refractive lensectomy procedure
on both eyes.  Living in the NW, it seems that Drs. ...
Fitting Cross Location24 May 2004 15:32 GMT7
For properly fitted progressive spectacles, is there any instance when the Fitting Crosses would not
be (roughly) centered on the pupils?
(Ideally the glasses should be made to the pupil separation when looking in the distance, right?)
My week-old  glasses' Fitting Crosses are about ...
Ocular Albinism23 May 2004 06:45 GMT3
I have some signs of ocular albinism, blond fundus,
iris transillumination, nystagmus, but my ERG was normal
and am not sensitive to sunlight. I have never had a VER test.
I've read that this is the best test for this. IS that correct?
Beginnings of myopia?22 May 2004 17:35 GMT7
I'm a student in my early 20s. Recently whilst revising I've noticed
after long periods of reading books when I look up and try to read
something across the room everything from about 7/8meters and more
begins to blur. I'm quite worried as I've never encountered this with my

what's the difference between Soflens 66 and Soflens Comfort?
Soflens Comfort seems to be slightly cheaper. Other than that, the
only info I've found is this:

Retinitis Pigmentosa In Boston Area ?21 May 2004 05:52 GMT1
Many eye "centers" in and around Boston treat retinal problems.
But, was wondering if there is one facility, or research center, or
Optamologist / group that
has a preeminent reputation regarding Retinitis Pigmentosa  in the greater
