Developing stereopsis?30 Apr 2004 17:36 GMT8
Just a quick question: is there any evidence to suggest that it is possible
to develop stereopsis in a person who, from birth, has never had stereopsis?

Recouperation30 Apr 2004 01:29 GMT1
I recently had my second round of vitrectomy. Last time I went through
weeks of agony. I just couldn't get comfortable face down.
My son saw a lady at the beach on one of these chairs, asked her about
it. It's called Ergolounger, or Ergo Lounger.

Daily disposables - large price difference24 Apr 2004 09:20 GMT3
I'm planning to return to using daily disposable lenses after a break
of about 10 years. I used to use Acuvue, and found them to be fine,
and so was planning to use them again after a new eye test etc.
But Specsavers (in Ireland) sells Acuvue at twice the price of a

Emotional arguments and defenses 21 Apr 2004 21:59 GMT6
I found these descriptions recently, and I couldn't miss the similarity to
arguments we've heard on s.m.v. about "the minus".  These are emotional
reactions to threat which apply especially well when arguing points based on
personal bias and misconceptions.
Question about Voltaren 0.1%20 Apr 2004 14:09 GMT4
My optometrist prescribed me this medicine for irritated red eyes to
use instead of a Visine or those alike.  Since I have mild dry eye he
told me Visine is not good.  Does anybody know about this medicine and
its uses? What I have found is that is very expensive drops.
