LASIK results07 Feb 2004 02:09 GMT3
Well I promised the group I'd give you an update. Had LASIK 6 days ago
in Denver, I had between 3 and 4 diopters of myopia, a bigger than
average pupil size (7mm) and not sure about my cornea thickness, but
Dr. said it was good.
TemaRe: Myopia Causes07 Feb 2004 01:29 GMT15
I'm a bit late to respond here, but I just read this.
You're kidding, right?? I think so.
..But in case not. The chances are clearly in the order of fantasy
numbers. It's about as likely that you should live to become a 1000
Brown-Turquoise Eyes07 Feb 2004 01:04 GMT3
I have an Italian friend whose eyes are brown just around the pupil,
and turquoise (i.e. blue family) beyond that. I have never seen this
before, and would like to know its frequency. Where could I find out
this information?
optima fw and soflens66 toric...06 Feb 2004 13:58 GMT5
I wear the Optima FW (8.4mm BC) and am totally in love with them. No
other lens has ever even come close to this lens in relation to
comfort-these are literally unnoticeable!! :)
The only disadvantage of these lenses for me is the fact that my
LASIK with pseudomyopia questions?06 Feb 2004 13:21 GMT3
I'm a 27 year old male working in IS (use computers all the time).
I've developed what I THOUGHT was a normal case of myopia and it
gradually got worse to the point where I needed glasses at about 18
years old. My prescription has about levelled off so I started looking
The idiot named Mike06 Feb 2004 06:51 GMT32
Special mention for this super-idiot named Mike.
He reported strange progress he was not able to explain in "scientific"
terms.
Either he was honest and told truth or he was a liar, just for mocking
Chalazion Surgery - afterwards06 Feb 2004 04:28 GMT4
I think I had a Chalazion surgery - the doctor didn't explain me what
I had and what I was going to have. (my eyelid became inflamed after
having sties, compresses and medication didn't work, he said he'll
remove the "fatty tissue" that accumulated there). Anyway, after doing
Help finding optician in Chicago06 Feb 2004 04:20 GMT2
I recently had cataract surgery (on one eye), and I'd like to have glasses
made (if possible).  I'm in Chicago.  Right now I'm wearing a CL, which
works pretty good, but I'd like spectacles for evenings, etc.
I checked with a few optometrists, unsuccessfully.  Can anyone recommend ...
how to pick an optometrist06 Feb 2004 03:58 GMT3
How does one go about picking an optometrist?  I have
moved 4 times in the last 5 years and each time I have
to go through the rigmarole of finding a new optometrist.
Most of the time I've been quite disappointed.  It seems

glasses vs lenses05 Feb 2004 20:08 GMT2
should glasses have the same power as lenses?
Military Standards for Vision05 Feb 2004 04:38 GMT4
Dear Friends,
Subject:  Astigmatism.
Almost all eyes have a small amount of astigmatism.
This issue is degree, and the "limits" that are imposed

Eye Excercise05 Feb 2004 03:56 GMT10
I am new to this group.  Read some posts with interest. I have  myopia and
am exploring some options like eye excercise.  Recently saw on TV the See
Clearly Method.  Got a free video but told me nothing. Is this worth
ordering it?
PRK regrets04 Feb 2004 17:25 GMT12
I had PRK 6 days ago and I'm looking for a little reassurance. Right
now I'm on the weaker side of 20/40 and glare is still a major
problem. I don't even feel comfortable driving. I'm worried that I've
made a mistake in having this procedure done. Are my worries justified
