Eyes and Rosacea21 Feb 2004 16:26 GMT10
I have facial rosacea, and lately my lower eyelids are pink all the time,
and my eyes have what looks like broken veins in them.  I also have
discomfort in my eyes, sometimes like mild stabbing pains, dryness,
tightness.  I went to a Kaiser opthamologist who told me I didn't have ...
Help - differences in axis.....20 Feb 2004 21:31 GMT4
I got new glasses nine days ago. They didn't seem right at all but I
thought I should persevere.
But I've been finding my right eye feels strained and uncomfortable,
and I'm really tired by 10 when I'm normally a real night owl.
First Impression Dealing with Reading Glasses20 Feb 2004 19:21 GMT6
Many of you veterns might laugh at this, but I'll tell you, someone
should write a book about transition to wearing reading glasses and the
new challenges you will face.  Sometimes I feel like an idiot trying to
do the things I used to be able to do (and not succeeding) while ...
Constantly adjusting pupils?20 Feb 2004 03:20 GMT3
I'm aware that the pupils constantly shift in accordance with changing light
levels at any one point as you move around or as light levels change, but
what would cause pupils that continue to dilate and contract over and over
in constant light?  For example, in a bathroom with ...

ocular rosacea & lubricating drops19 Feb 2004 05:47 GMT2
When I visited an opthamologist about my ocular rosacea, he gave me a
couple of samples of lubricating drops: Refresh Plus by Allergan and
Systane by Alcon.  He said to try them out and use as needed.  I've
tried both, and I'm fairly satisfied with them -- they help with the

How much is RGP Base Curve Checker Machine?18 Feb 2004 20:23 GMT2
Three labs report different results when I sent
them my RGP contact lens for specifications and I
don't trust the doctors since they have conflicting
statements.
Varilux Progressives: I'm Dizzy18 Feb 2004 19:57 GMT9
I am quite nearsighted, especially my right eye. At 49, an eye exam
showed I needed bifocals or two pairs of glasses, and I chose to try
progressive lenses in a pair I got three days ago. I believe they're
Varliux.
Other Parameters in RGP fabrication18 Feb 2004 09:53 GMT3
I have the two rigid gas permeable contact lens with the
exact same base curve (7.8), diopter reading (-8.0) and
diameter (9mm), yet one is sharper than the other. I
ordered the second one to replace the older one. The
Optima Medalist- the same as Optima FW ???17 Feb 2004 23:03 GMT4
It is mentioned that the optima fw contact lenses are meant for a

planned replacement schedule (3 months ??). So my question is: are
these the same lenses only repackaged differenly ?? or these lenses

I have been suffering with floaters since my early to mid teens, I'm
