Allegretto Lasers & Innovation29 Feb 2004 17:45 GMT1
Some more snooping around has enabled me to determine that two doctors
who have done some serious innovating are Guy Kezirian and Jack
Holladay.  They figured out years ago (before wavefront label became
trendy) that by treating the outer periphery taking into account the
Biomedics Toric29 Feb 2004 17:05 GMT1
I was just fitted in these Biomedics Toric lenses and found out how
expensive they are:   $6.50 each or $12 every 2 weeks.  Is there another
place I can purchase them.  My first preference would be a discount
place like Walmart or Sears.  There after would be mailorder.

Hi all...
I seem to have something on my face, immediately under my eye which I
can best describe as either a cist or boil.  I'm definetly on my way
to a doctor ASAP to have this checked out.  Any idea what this might

I went for a routine eye sight test and everything was found to be
normal, except when they used the opthalmoscope they found an area of

right eye about `3-A disc diameter away from the disc'. My health is
Toxoplasmosis and eye muscle surgery?27 Feb 2004 15:04 GMT1
Can eye muscle surgery reactivate toxoplasmosis?  I suspect it won't because
from what I've read it's largely a question of the immune system, but I want
to be certain before I submit to surgery.
Thanks,
Is it salvagable?27 Feb 2004 15:02 GMT1
About 2 - 3 wks. ago one of my Focus Night and Day lenses did  a
disappearing act while I was cleaning it after only wearing it a couple of
days.  I searched and searched and searched.  Today I found it.  It was
rather firmly attached to a container on my bathroom counter.  I soaked ...
Epicon Contact Lens27 Feb 2004 03:25 GMT2
I read on the Center for Keratoconus board that the carbosilfocon Epicon
contact lens (formerly from Specialty Ultravision) has resurfaced and is
available again from a lab in Canada.
Perhaps DrG and other physicians here could comment on this lens and
Toric contact lens rotation26 Feb 2004 21:34 GMT2
If I rotate a contact lens clockwise from my perspective (looking at
it through my own cornea), am I adding or subtracting from the axis?
-11 what lenses should I choose23 Feb 2004 21:37 GMT7
I was wondering what the difference in thickness would be if I chose
between a 1.67 plastic lens and a 1.8 glass lens.  I'm putting these
lenses in a small Modo (MO929) rectangular frame. Eye size 48 or so.
I'd go for the nikon 5 but they don't make it above -10.  So right now

+1.0 Reading Glasses22 Feb 2004 14:13 GMT18
I just started needed some help from reading glasses (new toric lenses

Focus Night & Day - final impressions22 Feb 2004 02:23 GMT8
Well, I think perhaps my search for the best contact lens for me has
come to a close.  Since several of you have been so helpfully
following my progress and providing input that has really aided me in
my discussions with my fitters and ophthalmologists, I just wanted to

I have astigmatism in both eyes:
