O.D. -5.50spherical, -1.25cylindrical, 170 Axis

I am looking for a thin lens, with the best abbe value I can get.  

I was wondering if there have been any studies regarding substances that
could be applied to the cornea to cause it to relax or tighten in the
localized area either permanently or for a long duration?  Could such
substances (if they exist) be used to treat astigmatism?

I though this may be useful information for those with catatracts.
