I have a pc application that starts off at about 30Hz and can go well
into the KHz....
You listen to the sound and stop the program when the sound it
generates is the same as the frequency of your tinnitus.

I get HF 'cicadas' in my right ear constantly, and occasionally mid-freq
tones in either ear.
But I also get The Hum, either in one or both ears occasionally, especially

Xanax can pretty much make my stress induced tinnitus go away but my
dr won't prescribe it since he doesn't want me to 'get hooked'. Any
feelings on that subject? BTW he gave me 20 xanax and then said no
more.
