For the rough period of 2 years in which I was tormented by my T, I went to many many doctors. Some happened to be very helpful while some very useless, and some's advices were so incomprehensible to me that I did not even bother to try.

"You'll have to learn to live with it", is something that patients are told from time to time by doctors who believe perhaps that effective treatment doesn't exist or, having tried tablets or infusion therapy, that all options have been exhausted.

I read a book in which the author says the word 'however' cannot be used to start a sentence. Is this true? If this is true, what other words can I use to start a sentence in such a way that it suggests the meaning of 'however'? How about 'but'?

I developed tinnitus about two weeks after I start with Lipitor and have had it continuously for the last three months. From what I can tell, tinnitus is reported as a side effect of statins about 2% of the time. Does anyone have experience with this? Does the tinnitus go away ...

So its June of 2007. Still working through the tinnitus issue (see previous posts). Since the beginning ( 2 years back or so ), I've tried: - Audiologists tests, MRI, MRA: found nothing.

In order for a tinnitus patient to decide whether or not he should try a recommended treatment, the *only* valid yardstick used is to gauge whether a said treatment will or will not produce IRREVERSIBLE CONSEQUENCE. The rest is irrelevant!
