Pulsating Tinnitus and Palpitations 30 Mar 2006 19:38 GMT10
Hello to everyone! I am new to this group and look forward to sharing ideas
with you. I have been suffering with heart palpitations for almost 2 years
now and have been learning to deal with them, but now my pulsating
tinnitus that occurs in both ears is so loud that I can hardly ...

Jetlag and Tinnitus27 Mar 2006 03:02 GMT3
I have had a constant ringing at about 13kHz in my ears since August last
year. It was brought on in a single night by stress and sleep deprivation.
I don't know if it was physically getting better, but I was coping with it
much better.
How loud is your tinnitus...?25 Mar 2006 20:26 GMT3
How loud, the type of sound, medications?
Mine is a ringing which actually sounds like a sine wave with a steely
character. The approximate frequency is 11 khz. The intensity varies
as with most of you, but at its loudest even very loud music does not

A strong suggestion to all the NEW tinnitus sufferers23 Mar 2006 17:05 GMT21
About a couple of years ago, my tinnitus surfaced.  I came to this
group named AST and made the fatal error of subscribing to the
'tinnitus authorities' in this group.  These authoritative figures,
mostly American doctors, espoused that there is no cure for tinnitus
Should tinnitus patients try gingko biloba?21 Mar 2006 17:44 GMT7
Assuming the cause of your tinnitus is unknown after the most
scientific check-ups by your certified doctors, and you are still
having problems with your tinnitus, I would suggest you to at least try
gingko biloba.  I tried it, being prescribed by a doctor who graduated

Tinnitus from head injury -- help!14 Mar 2006 20:28 GMT5
Three months ago I was on a bike when a car smashed into me, sending me
to the emergency room. I suffered some head trauma (mostly a sharp bang
to the left forehead which left a deep gash). While my injuries have
mostly healed, within 2 days of the accident I began hearing a high

Ring Relief ear plugs13 Mar 2006 02:47 GMT3
My major problem with T is sleeping with my husband.  He snores.  Before T
I used ear plugs and that worked fine.  Now ear plugs just increase the
ringing, as you all know.  I was thinking about trying "Ring Relief" for
both ears.  I was wondering if they would block out the sound ...
Why does it stop when I exercise and go away when I sleep?12 Mar 2006 20:33 GMT3
I don't have it initially when I wake up in the morning but it will
"kick in" a minute or so after I wake up.  Also, with exercise it will
go away for several hours.  I am a very anxious person, aren't I just
hearing my own electrical brain current which I can "hear" when anxious
Went to see a specialist yesterday... what she said was interesting I think10 Mar 2006 20:25 GMT3
She told me some interesting things, and a new way of looking at
tinnitus.
I've had it now for 8 months and now it's 24/7 and I'm aware of it most
of the time. It's affecting my sleep patterns etc. Horrible. Especially
