I have had Tinnitus for the past 4.5 years.  I woke up with it one day
and it's been driving me crazy ever since.  I went through the usual
protocol, Family Doctore, Specialists and tests to tell me I had to
live with it...well, through my own research on the web, I've found

About a year and a half ago while i was working in China, i got

I had serious ear surgery last August here in London at the Royal
National Throat Nose & Ear Hospital. I had a mastoidectomy following
attic retraction in my left eardrum.
A new eardrum was made from local tissue, and a few bones removed.

My elderly mother suffers terribly from tinnitus. I'm not there but am
being petitioned to *do* something about what has become an impossible
situation. I'd like to gather as much information as possible before I
telephone her (new) doctor. Why does she have such trouble outside? ...

After 20 years with my friends tinnitus (many kind of noises) a Dr.
suggested I had Costen Syndrome, after a magnetic resonance analysys,
studies and radiographies I was sent to be treated by a Dentist
specialized in oral reconstruction (sorry for my english), he installed

I had this TMS-session (Trans cranial Magnetic Stimulation). 1 Hz frequency
and ? Tesla magnetic field, pulsating on each side of my head (where the
auditive cortex is on each side of the brain). My fingers moved and my left
eye-lid moved, but my T stayed the same...

I do sometimes. May be due to caffein. Coffee amplifies my tinnitus
straight away, say within a few mins and last about half an hour.
Strange. Diet coke gives me a little louder tinnitus, but I am addicted
so I don't complain about it.
