Cervical Vertebra Machine16 Aug 2005 05:53 GMT9
I have tried this device and it has helped improved my t.  It took me
over a month before experiencing any tangible improvement.  Currently,
I am not afraid of napping any more.
In my view, habituation does not mean doing nothing.  If it did, none
Tinnitus Clinic - U of Va or U of Md15 Aug 2005 22:49 GMT1
I've had T for 13 years, and gradually self-habituated over that time.
However, in the last two months or so, my T has gotten MUCH worse, and I'm
not taking it well.  Even though I should know better, I'm experiencing
really bad anxiety and sleeplessness.
Day 4 15 Aug 2005 22:28 GMT5
A not so good start to the day as I woke up at 5.45a.m. to go the bathroom,
and the T was very noisy.  After a short while of lying on my *right* side
the noise began to fade, and I dropped back off to sleep until 9.15!   I had
my breakfast and lay down until 10 a.m - couldn't stay ...
Day 3- interesting differences :)15 Aug 2005 06:17 GMT2
I do hope I ain't boring anyone, and am putting the day number in the header
so people who are bored needn't read my reports.
First off I would like to say when I am doing my "experiment" I am lying in
my king-sized bed :) with no noise at all - it is quiet where we live.  As
No, seriously, where is Dr Nagler?15 Aug 2005 06:13 GMT18
I've been absent for a few years, and I check back in and everyone's
still here - Elly, Murray, Eva, Francis, Howard, Jim, Susan; hey - even
a showing from "eerie wax"... (pity about Captain Ron though) but
where's the old needler gone? I know he could be grumpy and had a single
Xanax vs. Lorazapam15 Aug 2005 03:24 GMT3
As I wrote in a previous post, I've had T for 13 years, and gradually
self-habituated over that time.  However, in the last two months or so, my T
has gotten MUCH worse, and I'm not taking it well.  Even though I should

Toxoplasmosis & Tinnitus14 Aug 2005 19:52 GMT1
Is there any connection between Toxoplasmosis (a Toxoplasma Gondii
parasite infection) and tinnitus?  Any thoughts on potential tinnitus
treatments if related to a previous bout of toxoplasmosis?
My tinnitus developed suddenly about 7 years ago.  About 6 months prior
I don't know and I don't want to know14 Aug 2005 10:03 GMT13
Six months ago, I went back to the hospital in China.  This hospital is
divided into two large faculties: the one of western medicine and one
of TCM.  I told my ex-ENT and neurology doctors about my improvement
and how that improvement had been brought about using TCM method.  In
I don't want to go to bed14 Aug 2005 09:06 GMT5
After enjoying a wonderful peaceful day I find I don't want to go to bed,
even though I feel dead tired.  No more decorating to be done, so no
stretching and bending, and contorting my body, and today, no T!   I hate
going to bed because I always wake up with quite loud T, so what ...

exercises from my chiropractor11 Aug 2005 21:20 GMT5
I found it interesting that the chiro focussed on the 2 top vertebrae.
Assar Bjorne in Sweden has also given an exercise to stretch that
particular section of the neck.
See if some of you can follow this.
Advice please11 Aug 2005 21:08 GMT6
On September the 1st I am to to attend the Tinnitus Clinic at my local
hospital.  The appointment is one hour long.  Can anyone point me to any
scientific research which I could print out to support Elly's idea of T
being muscular-related in many cases, please?   I am having visions ...
Ears muffled from thunder10 Aug 2005 21:22 GMT4
Last night I was caught outside and a MASSIVE thunderclap hit overhead
me. Loudest I have ever heard. I tried to cup my ears but too late. My
ears are muffled some today. I am very worried this may increase my
tinnitus. Can a one time thunder exposure do damage? My ears may also
is there a tinnitus prone personality type?10 Aug 2005 18:23 GMT9
from the rececent postings on this board and research I've done and my
own experience of T, I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that our own
character type and ability to cope with ---often self
generating--stress levels have a very significant effect on our initial
