a veces me quiero morir29 Jun 2005 00:22 GMT1
Hola, realmente confío en que este grupo me ayude a continuar
viviendo.
Ustedes saben mis quejas sobre tinitus, no voy a describir lo que
siento. Sin embargo, necesito encontrar una cura o un alivio ya que he
Better earplugs?26 Jun 2005 22:22 GMT6
I've had T for several years from playing in loud bands in clubs.  It's
really lessened over the years, or maybe I've gotten used to it.
Recently I started gigging again and make sure to wear ear plugs.  I've
tried them all, with no luck as my T is really aggravated lately.  This

Tips from members of the Australian Tinnitus Association (NSW):'
1.  Avoid loud noise - travel with earplugs - fingers for emergencies
2. If possible for you, use hearing aid and/or masker
3.  Keep busy, active and interested;  especially in something YOU

in the support group had any positive experiences with medications? If so,
e-mail me.

Why not try this...23 Jun 2005 03:11 GMT15
Give up eating any foods that require chewing for a week or two. This means
a diet of soup, cream of wheat, etc. Boring... but together with vitamins
it's  had a remarkable effect in reducing my high-pitched ringing tinnitus
to a very tolerable low level that I can just barely ...
Accupunture?22 Jun 2005 03:47 GMT7
I have endured T for over 7 years now. First the chirping of crickets
which has evolved into the constant hiss of air escaping. I have been
seeing a Korean MD who specializes in accupunture for low back pain. I
asked if she ever worked with T and she indicated she had success with

Tinnitus gets worse when mouth is open14 Jun 2005 16:20 GMT8
Recently I was on a course of accutane which I believe caused tinnitus
in both ears for me (it's listed as a rare side effect). The tinnitus
itself is luckily bearable (I can only really hear it when going to bed)
however I have noticed one thing - that it gets much louder when I ...
Sleep CD that works12 Jun 2005 21:22 GMT3
I have created a sleep CD that is about 60 minutes long.  I won't go into
great detail but suffice it to say it helps a great deal to sleep without
being bothered.  I set it to repeat all night and it works great.  Anyone
who would like a copy can email me for info and then ...
Drinking and Tinnitus09 Jun 2005 23:33 GMT9
Alcohol dimminshes my Tinnitus significantly, although there would be
the troublesome aspects of living drunk.
My experience indicates this is not a lack of perception when drinking,
the volume truly is lowered.
Nothing works for everyone.06 Jun 2005 18:20 GMT5
You can add in the rest.
Wasting one's time on a Thursday afternoon :)04 Jun 2005 21:09 GMT10
Much as I love our NHS here in the UK it can drive one even crazier at
times!   I mentioned T being a real nuisance to me to an audiology worker
when she took the impressions of my ears for aids back in January.  She told
me that I must get referred to the Tinnitus Clinic by my GP - ...
New Tone04 Jun 2005 01:05 GMT2
I'd like if I may to discuss the issue of hearing new tinnitus tones that
suddenly appear. I've had t for 15 years now. It's always been the hissy
type and despite the fact that it fluctuates in volume, the actual tinnitus
sound itself never varies and consequently I've largely ...
