Temporary pulsatile  tinnitus25 Mar 2005 21:10 GMT1
I have had tinnitus for 3 years or so. Last night I woke up and I had this
whooshing in my right ear at the same rate as my heartbeat.
It  would calm down for a bit when I used the  technique one uses in an
aircraft to unblock your ears.(Holding my nose and blowing through my ears ...

I've had mild T for a long time, but finally went to a doctor about it -
it's been getting much more aggravating over the past few years. He
prescribed two medications: trivastal and vastarel. (I live in France;
these may have other names in different countries.) They are both

All quiet - WHY????24 Mar 2005 21:20 GMT6
I know I shouldn't complain that I have had a completely quiet day since I
got up this morning, but I would love to know WHY?  My T is always noisy
(high-pitchcd squealing pigs) and most days drives me silly, but I get the
odd day of peace, and I never know why!   It can't be due to ...
Has your tinnitus gotten worse?23 Mar 2005 23:03 GMT2
I'm 25, I've had light ringing in my ear for as long as I can remember, I
thought it was normal, then I found out it wasn't. I also started playing
drums last year, I used earplugs a lot but didn't put them in all the way,
sometimes not at all. Then I reached a point where I was ...
tinnitus suppression with novocain23 Mar 2005 05:10 GMT8
In Nov 2004 I had a dental deep cleaning process done.
To those unfamiliar, its a plaque cleaning process under
the gum line, invasive and very uncomfortable to have done.
All four quadrants were done, and I was injected with

Has everyone been cured of T and I missed it?  It seems so quiet on here
which is very unusual.  Let me in on the secret, please! :)

My cousin claims that for a few years now, she has had a constant
ringing that isn't really loud, always stays at exactly the same level
and hasn't noticed any associated hearing loss.
Here are a few facts about her.  If any of you see something here that
TMJ tendencies ?10 Mar 2005 19:17 GMT2
A routine visit to the dentist today (but sadly no tinnitus-killing
lidocaine on offer this time!). He said that seldom had he ever encountered
a patient with such wear on the teeth due to a heavy bite, and I probably
grinded my teeth while I sleep.  My jaw has also long had a ...

Tinnitus and sleep question07 Mar 2005 02:45 GMT6
I'm writing this note for my mother, a sixty-one year old woman whose
tinnitus began in August 2004.  Her tinnitus resulted from a
stereotactic needle biopsy, which, fortunately, turned out be negative.
She's had all kinds of tests, including a brain MRI, a carotid artery
DUXARIL and its side-effects.07 Mar 2005 02:35 GMT4
In the early stage of my t development, 2 ENT doctors and 1 GP in Hong
Kong prescribed me a medicine brand-named DUXARIL.
This medicine, according to these doctors, is meant to 'nourish' the
cochlea with more blood supply and thus, as they claimed, hands out a

Hi, I've had tinnitus since 2000, and have'nt ever realley bothered to get
