i have my tinitus since 1998 and i am used to it as good as i can. Are there any new developments in medicine concerning the T. ?

Xanax is the better of the two for treating T, however, Celexa a SRI seems to help and doesn't have a lot of the side affects typical with the use of SRIs.

I have "reactive" T and hyperacusis. I had exactly the same effect after the tympanometry and reflex testing , as described by few other persons in another thread. It PERMANENTLY worsened my tinnitus.

Sorry to repeat myself but I need to convince my GP! Does anyone know if Valium is as effective as Xanax in treating tinnitus? Or, is there any difference if they are both benzodiazepenes? Thank you
