SoundidEARS13 Oct 2004 04:19 GMT11
The next step I am going to explore is sound masking.
I went to this clinic and it seems that they provide me with another
attempt towards 'complete silence'.
Kindly take a look at the following and see what you think of
A hypothesis ?12 Oct 2004 18:40 GMT12
Ben's comment about hearing aids making his T worse whereas they make mine
better, got me trying to sort out some thoughts I've been having about
tinnitus for some time.  I hope the medically-qualified here will comment on
what  I'm going to say - I don't mind at all if you shoot me ...
Frontalis muscle and tinnitus12 Oct 2004 05:03 GMT3
Has anyone experienced a condition where after the onset of tinnitus, the
frontalis muscle (muscle of the forehead and top of the head) goes into
involuntary spasms to the point where it seems that it is totally beyond
one's control to relax it?  Is there any technique that would ...

this it affects all that side of my face, sort of a tightness and I get a

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo11 Oct 2004 21:02 GMT8
Hello,  Two weeks ago I awoke with this problem. When I roll over in bed the
room spins wildly for about 15 secs. and then settles down. If I roll over in
bed from the other side it doesn`t happen. When it is happenning I can`t focus
my eyes on anything.  Actually in bed it feels ...

My T c hanges all the time...the buzzing has gone now, now its hissing and
ringing and crickets, I have yet to find anyone with tinnitus even similar
to mine, I havent been able to habituate because the noises are different
all the time, the sensations I get with it though freak me ...
combatting T with phase inverted sounds09 Oct 2004 17:00 GMT2
Well here is a litle experiment that I am trying at the moment.
I determined 1 of my T sounds to be at some 7000 hz. Now in theory, when you
invert the phase of a sound and you place an exact normal sound on top of
that you would get a reaction that makes the noise quieter.

Improvement after Shaitsu07 Oct 2004 04:05 GMT15
Anyone here tried shiatsu ?
I have been for one session and I already believe the T tone has "softened"
slightly. Hopefully this is not just my imagination or wishful thinking.
Anyway time will tell as I plan to return regularly.
How can I achieve complete silence?:05 Oct 2004 20:16 GMT4
After a series of treatments, I have brought my t down to a rather
acceptable level over a year period.  Currently, I am basically off
medication.  However, there are still 3 bad days in a week.  On a good
day, the silence is almost 90% while on a bad day the continuous
Could tinnitus be self-healing?02 Oct 2004 19:23 GMT3
Could a severe T be coming down to an acceptable T without any
treatment or medication?  Tks.,
