The pressure is gone but the sound is still there...30 Aug 2004 18:12 GMT8
I stayed in China for about 8 months.  During which time, I tried
everything but never allowed the shiny needles to get near me.
A couple of weeks ago, my daugher introduced me to a _registered_
accupuncturist here in the beautiful province of British Columbia.
IS THERE ANY  RECOGNIZED RELIEF FOR TINNITUS???23 Aug 2004 23:31 GMT7
I have had tinnitus for about two years. I woke up one day and there
it was. It sounds like a low pitched cricket sound. It bothers me only
in the evening when I go to bed. I Have to have the radio going all
evening to drown out the sound.
Tinnitus sound and heart beat22 Aug 2004 19:23 GMT9
I have in a week 4 good days and 3 bad days.  A bad day is
characterized by T sound reminiscient of electrical discharge and
faster heart beat.
Is there anything that could be done about it aside from habituation?

Human Growth Factors?18 Aug 2004 18:09 GMT1
During a recent exam by my ENT, I asked him whether stem cell research
might some day produce a cure for tinnitus.  He told me that he had
been studying this quite a bit and feels the related area of Human
Growth Factors could very well result in a cure for this malady and
I'm Sleeping18 Aug 2004 01:58 GMT8
Something new is happening. I have only missed one night of sleep in the
past eight or so days. There is no need for sleeping pills or tranquilizers,
although I am taking a med at night that has a side affect that makes me
tired enough to help me fall asleep. It does look like it's ...

Three nights in a row15 Aug 2004 02:35 GMT34
I have fallen asleep three nights in a row so far this week. This is
wonderful. It is not an easy feat as my T has not diminished. This is in
part due to everyone that has reassured me that my T wasn't going to take
over. Thanks. I am also taking medications (psychiatric) that my ...
Low Pressure System14 Aug 2004 01:56 GMT6
Well, I have never had this before.  My t is rather noticeable today with
the low pressure system in my area.  But, now I have a thumping sound as
well.  Off and on....not constant.  What's causing this?  It doesn't change
the T...just feels weird.

In my earlier post, I neglected to ask if anyone has had any success with
TRT - (tinnitus retraining therapy).   Would appreciate any info from
someone who has undergone this and the results.

TINNITUS SURVEY ABOUT HEARING AIDS11 Aug 2004 05:19 GMT10
Just curious how many of you are wearing hearing aids and who also have
tinnitus.  Would love to know how many of you find that the hearing aids affect
your tinnitus in any way?
I.E.----does your tinnitus become softer or louder?
