I hope this is the right group for such a question. Can anyone with medical knowledge answer a small question for me. Is it possible by just looking into the ear to determin 100% if there's any infection in the *inner* ear?

I have had tinnitus for 4 years. Recently a doctor told me I have kidney stones and should have Lithotripsy. This procedure is very loud. I have been careful of loud noises. I will be able to use ear protection. Do you know of anyone with tinnitus who has had

What would happen if a person put a few drops of Lidocaine in the ear with the noise? I know it sonds crazy but I am thinking about trying this.

I do play computer games and it really does take my mind off of the Tinnitus. I have also started sleeping with the radio on and I find that I am able to get a 'better' night of sleep. I was waking up every 2 hours for the past couple of years. Now...only once each night. Still ...

I have tickets to see Kiss this July. I am apprehensive because of my tinnitus. The show is outdoors and my seats are not up close. I will be wearing my foam plugs. I just hope I can enjoy it without having tinnitus fill all my thoughts.
