Does Anything Really Help?14 Jun 2004 02:08 GMT13
I am new to this newsgroup. I am seeking help with a severe case of tinnitis
in my left ear. It started many years ago and was only occasional. It is now
a constant, high pitched sound that I hear 100% of the time. The ONLY time I
can not hear it is when I am in the shower and the ...
ear plugs12 Jun 2004 13:41 GMT10
I've read many references to using ear plugs. I have a few questions.
Do people use special earplugs? What kind are preferred and where can
they be purchased?
TIA
Where does the sound come from?11 Jun 2004 10:47 GMT5
My ENT doctor told me that even at this moment scientists still don't
know where the T sound comes from but it certainly comes from a
certain part of our body.  I have found this kind of explanation
beyond my normal mode of comprehension.  Is there any scientific
accupuncture11 Jun 2004 10:31 GMT1
Has anybody tried accupuncture for their tinnitus?
If so, I would like to know what kind of results you experienced.
Thanks!
Tinnitus or Wax? Advice needed09 Jun 2004 13:24 GMT6
Friends, I have been afflicted by T for about seven years. I my case it has
manifested itself as a persistent ringing the ears which ranges in pitch and
loudness from time to time, sometimes hardly noticeable to very loud, I have
learned to live with it. Something new has happened ...

sounds on your CD to use as a masker but they are kind of all over the place.
Would some kind person review

Good & Bad Weeks?07 Jun 2004 00:38 GMT6
I have this for several weeks now, the first week was bad but this week was
much better where I could hear a tingling sound  but a relief to what it
was, but today the sound came back worse.
Does this happen where there can be a dramatic sound change over a few
Motorcycles and Tinnitus06 Jun 2004 18:12 GMT1
Does anyone with tinnitus still ride a motorcycle? I ride occasionally with
a
full face helmet and ear plugs. Although my exhaust system is not loud,
I get some wind noise through the helmet to my ears. I'm not sure if
Guarantee06 Jun 2004 16:55 GMT1
It would appear to me that the 100% guarantee is working.  It's amazing to
me how many posts keep popping up with no relevance whatsoever to TINNITUS.
What do suppose this says to *newbies* to this newsgroup?  People with a
*REAL* medical condition, in need of support and ...
What happened to TRT?06 Jun 2004 03:57 GMT19
After a period of lurking and then returning to this site, it seems to
me that a lot of the same people are still contributing.  With the advent of
TRT why is tinnitus still such a problem for some?  Can one conclude that
TRT was just another flavour of the month and has now ...
Has anyone here found Lithium to agravate Tinnitus?06 Jun 2004 03:47 GMT4
My tinnitus has gotten worse over the past month which coincides with my
taking of Lithium.  I was wondering if anyone else has had this same
experience.

Re: This is for Dr. Chung06 Jun 2004 01:22 GMT1
After reading first the other post in which you confess to having done the
cross posting for reasons of trolling and net stalking of another, your
apparent loss of speech is understandable, conviction of one's sin weighs
heavily on one's soul; in which case asking for forgiveness ...
getting prescription for serc inside US05 Jun 2004 03:52 GMT8
hey all,
I had a couple of questions about serc... I've got the unholy trifecta
of Meniere's (tinnitus, dizziness, and hearing loss) as well as
'fullness' in the ear. I'm not sure if its Meniere's, but I'd like to
ENT said tinnitus in my right ear due to, well, congestion.  is that possible?05 Jun 2004 02:14 GMT3
I've had "static-like" hissing coming from my right ear.  The sound started
about 5 days ago, I noticed it when I awoke in the morning.  It has never
happened before
After a thorough examinationa and a subsequent hearing test (of which
