Twelve year history of hyperacusis and tinnitus.
My workplace, a communications center, will be upgrading its equipment by the
end of the summer.  New system will involve telephone headpieces and earpieces.
Any suggestions on designs that would likely not aggravate my hyperacusis ...

I was scuba diving on vacation and on my last dive I noticed my left ear was
ringing.  I had a little problem equalizing and then ascended a few feet to
try again.  I never felt any pain, but my left ear has been ringing ever
since I got out of the water on that friday afternoon ...
Can the most medically advanced establishment in the world do more for the tinnitus patients aside from telling them to 'live with it'?16 Apr 2004 21:07 GMT1

Since December 16, 2003 I've had a constant ringing in my ears.
Annoying to say the least. I delayed going to bed until I could barely
keep my head up hoping that I would fall asleep quickly. If I lay in
bed for just a few minutes I started to panic.

After reading every post on here for the past two weeks, I have come to the
conclusion no one has any idea of cause or fix for Tinitus.
I talked to my pharmiscist and she looked at me like I had two heads and
when I asked her if there was anything new onn the market to help with

I'm not sure if I have tinnitus. I guess time will tell. At the moment I'm
hearing a faint ringing tone at night when everything is quiet. It started
somewhere in Jan or Feb, I'm not sure. Now I know that tinnitus could be
caused by frequent exposure to loud noise. I suspect that ...

After six weeks of mind-numbing T, three MRI's, and various other tests, my
neurologist has placed me on Neurontin. I been on it four days, without
appreciable benefit.
Anyone have experience with this drug therapy, or others?

I have tinnitus that just started up a week ago. I went to my GP and
after a quick look he said my eardrums were impacted with wax and dx'd
that as the likely cause of the tinnitus. After he went on to the next
patient, his nurses tried flushing out my ears to no avail. They sent

I've been seeing an ENT for years, along with tinnitus I have
narrowing of the ear canals..so bad that I think the ENT can only see
a small piece of an ear drum. I called his office and asked if they
could photograph the middle ear and tissue growth so I can see it and
