My experience has been that most doctors, including many ENT specialists, do NOT know how to treat this ill. Did they get some kind of teaching or training on this ill? FP

Whenever my brain rings, my ear follows to ring. So from the point of view of me as a patient, the side of the brain that rings is the cause while the ear near that side that rings is the effect. I put this questions to the doctorS lately and their replies are as

It appears the Israeli dr's might have been prescribing magnesium for tinnitus to their distressed soldiers. Anyone else have any information on this? Has there been any studies on the effects of magnesium in tinnitus patients?

Of all the drugs I have used, ATIVAN and STemetil(ones given to me by my doc) did produce a reasonably silent world. Any others? FP
